The Assassin’s Creed franchise is turning 15-years-old this year, and Ubisoft has prepared plenty of ways to celebrate it. Earlier today it hosted a live stream and launched a page on its website thanking fans of the series for their support. But that’s not all, as Ubisoft also announced a slew of new content for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla for Year 2. As far as content goes, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has had plenty since its release in 2020....

Microsoft has announced the latest batch of games that will be available for free to Gold subscribers to the Xbox Live service in July. On July 1, Android Assault Cactus will be available to download; despite the name it has very little to do with cactus, being a twin stick shooter. Puzzler Death Squared will join it on July 16 on Xbox One. Your Xbox 360 titles for the month will comprise beat-em-up Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown from the first to the 15th of the month, which will be followed by Sam Fisher rappelling in from the ceiling onto your hard drive for the latter half from the 16th in Splinter Cell Conviction – both of which scored 9s from us in their respective reviews....

Ng Wai ‘Blitzchung’ Chung, the Hearthstone Grandmaster winner who was banned for his comments on Hong Kong, has released a statement in response to Blizzard’s reappraisal of his actions and according sanctions (via VGC). Blizzard Entertainment has suggested we won’t see any major Diablo-related announcements at BlizzCon 2018. Bloober Team - the studio behind psychedelic horror hits including Layers of Fear, Observer, The Medium, and Blair Witch - has announced a new partnership with Take-Two publishing label Private Division that’ll see it creating a new survival horror IP. A new Bloodborne trailer released by Sony has explained the game’s new procedurally-generated ‘Chalice Dungeons’. Presented by producer Masaaki Yamagiwa, the video goes into further details about the Chalice Dungeons and Messenger Creatures, which behave in a similar way to the Souls series’ Soul Signs which allowed players to leave messages for other people. “The Chalice Dungeons are underground ruins found beneath the city of Yharnam.” Yamagiwa says. “It’s a vast area with many different levels and layers....
