Japanese figure manufacturers are continuing to reveal new figures portraying Azur Lane’s shipgirls, and now it’s Mimeyoi’s turn. We get a figure portraying Bremerton with her “Scorching-Hot Training” skin. She’s currently available for pre-order on Ami Ami in a cheaper TF Edition and a pricier one with more accessories priced respectively at 14,600 yen and 18,800 yen, which translate respectively into approximately $120 and $154. The release window is May 2023 for both editions....

Today Electronic Arts revealed the first gameplay of Battlefield 2042’s Season 1, dubbed “Zero Hour.“ We get to see the new map titled “Exposure,” the new Polish operator Ewelina Lis, the new battle pass, new vehicles (including the RAH-68 Huron and YG-99 Hannibal), and weapons. Battlefield V’s Tides of War is expanding soon with the launch of Chapter 2: Lightning Strikes, and DICE has provided a slew of new details today on what to expect from the latest content drop. For starters, Lightning Strikes will cough up four new weapons, three of which were confirmed as the Medic-based Zk-383 SMG, the Assault-based Modele 1944 semi-automatic, and the M1922 MMG for the Support class. Squad Conquest will also be part of the package as previously confirmed, which offers an ‘intense version’ of Conquest with two teams of 16 players across the maps Arras, Rotterdam, and Hamada....

In a surprising and likely unintended reveal, it seems that Platinum Games is remastering both Bayonetta and Vanquish for release on the Xbox One. Social media tracking bots for the Microsoft Store noted Thursday morning that a new profile for a Vanquish remaster had been published. As fans of the original Vanquish considered the veracity of the listing, another was posted for a Bayonetta remaster. Shortly to follow, a Bayonetta & Vanquish 10th Anniversary Bundle listing went up as well....

The BBC iPlayer app now works on the Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X consoles as of today, having been notably missing from both of Microsoft’s next-gen consoles’ launch line up of media apps for Xbox gamers in the UK. According to a statement given to The Express, the BBC said “From this morning, BBC iPlayer is now available on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. The Binding of Isaac’s huge new expansion, Afterbirth, is coming to PC on October 30, with a console release to follow. That’s according to the game’s creator, Edmund McMillen, who also claims the DLC adds “100+ hours” of gameplay. Highlights include a “new way to play,” called Greed Mode, a new ending, and a daily challenge mode. The add-on isn’t currently available for pre-order, but once it is, McMillen says customers who take up the option will receive a “considerable price reduction”....

Pearl Abyss has announced that its fantasy MMORPG Black Desert Online will be getting PS4 and Xbox One cross-platform play, however, fans on PS4 say that they don’t want it. Black Desert Online is now one of several games supporting cross-play between the two consoles, after Sony first allowed cross-play with Fortnite in September 2018. In a press release, Pearl Abyss confirmed that starting from March 4, 2020, Black Desert Online players on PS4 and Xbox One will be able to play alongside each other....

BlizzCon is back again this year and Blizzard has now revealed the dates for the event which once again takes place at the Anaheim Convention Center. The event will take place between 2-3 November and will feature all the usual community events, game hands-on time, developer panels and hopefully a game reveal of two. Speaking to VG247, Borderlands 3 creative director Paul Sage said that the Borderlands franchise could potentially extend beyond the games, like an anime adaptation or even a theme park. Though the Borderlands film is in its early stages of development, Sage could see the world of Pandora on the small screen too. ‘We were talking the other day about, would it be a good, almost like an anime type thing?
