Bad news over at Bethesda as they announce an investigation regarding possible plagiarism of a marketing initiative for the soon to be released Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) expansion Elsweyr. Netherland’s studio, a division of Bethesda, was tasked to promote the upcoming ESO expansion. To do so, they created and published a tabletop RPG adventure using the rule set from Wizards of the Coast’s Dungeons & Dragons Fifth Edition (5E). Controversy entered the scene almost immediately as it was pointed out that there were certain similarities with an adventure from 2016....

Blizzard has apologised to fans after a rocky launch day for its new free to play shooter, Overwatch 2. Though the game has been live just over 36 hours now, many players have struggled to be able to login to the game. Many of them have faced queues, disconnects and the loss of their items from Overwatch 1. Now, in an update on the Blizzard forums, the studio has given its own take on the game’s first day of launch, and let fans know how they’re tackling the issues and getting more people into the game....

Blizzard Entertainment President J. Allen Brack has been discussing big plans for the Overwatch game universe. During a recent call to investors, he stated that “Overwatch is a huge tentpole franchise for Blizzard and we’re continuing to dedicate the resources and the attention so that we can continue to grow the community and the franchise over time.” As part of this commitment, Brack affirmed that the company will add “new heroes and new maps and new experiences” in the coming years....
