The local multiplayer game sees players sharing control of a character with a really long and wriggly body, competing with another pair of players. Frantic local multiplayer gameplay in the vein of Sportsfriends or Towerfall. Multiple game types that will test your friendship in different ways, as well as a sandbox area filled with toys and secrets....

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3’s first DLC map pack ‘Awakening’ will not be available on Xbox 360 or PS3, Activision has confirmed. Instead, the content will only be available on PS4, Xbox One and PC. The lack of DLC is the latest in a string of features cut from the last-gen versions of Black Ops 3, joining the game’s campaign and the series’ traditional 60fps frame rate. Nuketown 2065, one of the game’s pre-order bonuses, was also only available in the PS4, Xbox One and PC versions of the game....

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 1 launched yesterday. It provided players with a variety of new content across all game modes. Call of Duty: Warzone players have been able to access the new Rebirth Island, as well as Black Ops Cold War guns in the battle royale for free. With just days left before BlizzCon 2019 kicks off, Blizzard Entertainment continues to find itself at the center of controversy. The past year has not always been great for the legendary studio from layoffs to disappointing announcements, and the most recent controversy with Hearthstone Grandmaster Chung Ng Wai. This week, the studio confirmed even more bad news revealing that three senior developers have decided to leave the company. According to a statement from Blizzard Entertainment, StarCraft 2 lead designer and Heroes of the Storm game director Dustin Browder, former Hearthstone production director Jason Chayes, and former Hearthstone director Eric Dodds quietly left the studio a few months ago....

Blizzard Entertainment has shot down reports overnight that the studio had pulled the plug on a Diablo 4 announcement for BlizzCon 2018. Kotaku originally reported that the highly anticipated sequel would be showcased during Blizzard’s annual games event, which played host to the heavily criticised reveal of mobile game Diablo Immortal. Blizzard Entertainment, the developer behind popular games like Hearthstone and Overwatch, is in the hot seat with their controversial decision to ban Ng Wai Chung and rid him of his tournament winnings. It seems like in the midst of all this, the company has possibly made plans to address this. Ng Wai Chung, also known as Blitzchung, made a pro-Hong Kong statement which lead to him being banned for a year and losing his earnings (almost $10,000) from the Hearthstone....

Not content with announcing Borderlands 3 and Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition, Gearbox confirmed at PAX East yesterday that it’s bringing a free update to Borderlands: The Handsome Collection next week. Due out on April 3, the Ultra HD Pack offers a visual boost for Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, including 4K resolution and HDR support for PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X players. This fully remasters the collection’s textures, characters, and vehicles, giving it a significant graphical overhaul....

Borderlands 3 has its fair share of glitches that continue to rise in popularity or live on in memory when they get fixed. This includes the Borderlands 3 Pipe Bomb grenade glitch and many of the infinite money glitches, but now there are a new set of glitches for FL4K that allow them to proc infinite damage and anointed effects. Bungie has released a blog post explaining the reasoning behind an outage of the game this week that’s caused players to lose progress. On 24th January, Hotfix 6.3.0.5 was released but Bungie later announced it would be taking the game offline to “investigate an ongoing issue causing certain Triumphs, Seals, and Catalysts to lose progress for players”, as per this tweet. Now the game is back up and running, but players have lost progress in the process and purchases during this time have been refunded....

Burnout developer Criterion was approached by Nintendo and asked to make an F-Zero launch title for the Wii U, it’s been confirmed. After being tipped off by a source, Criterion founder Alex Wards confirmed to Nintendo Life that the studio was asked by Nintendo of Europe to create a playable vertical slice to show off at E3 in 2011, but due to prior commitments, were unable to fulfil the request....

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War was finally revealed in an exciting trailer yesterday. Fans were given a glimpse into the next installment of Treyarch’s political thriller campaign mode. Also, the campaign will have brand new features that have never been seen in the Call of Duty franchise. For instance, for the first time, a Call of Duty game offers character customization, and it even includes the option to use gender neutral pronouns....

AMD’s mid-gen Radeon 6000 refresh, announced today, comprises of three new graphics cards: the $399 RX 6650 XT, the $549 RX 6750 XT and the $1099 RX 6950 XT. Each offers small boosts to memory speeds (18GBps versus 16GBps for the 6750 XT against the OG 6700 XT) and slightly higher power draw (250W versus 230W). That should translate into modest frame-rate gains, but this is very much a card that slots in to replace the older RX 6700 XT rather than sitting in its own distinct power band - despite a rise in asking price....

Three existing Assassin’s Creed games are coming to PS4 and Xbox One this November, according to a new report. French website Gameblog claims to have heard that Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection will contain current-gen versions of Assassin’s Creed 2, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood and Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, each remastered in 1080p/30fps with “reworked” textures. The pack also includes all previously-released DLC and two animated films based on Ezio, the site says....

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla previews are going live across the internet this week, and they’ve revealed some new information about the forthcoming viking epic, including a little more information as to how both the male and female version of lead character Eivor will be canonical.
