There are few things more frustrating than a cheater, and removing these types of players makes for a better gaming experience. Bungie has recently taken steps to do just that, cracking down on cheaters in Destiny 2. The studio announced that it has banned Destiny 2 players using aim-bots to give themselves an advantage. Bungie wrote on Twitter, “Our security team has taken action today [October 3] and issued a wave of bans targeted at players attempting to use aiming cheat tools....

As promised, the Call of Duty: Ghosts Invasion DLC is now available to download on Xbox One and Xbox 360. The content is available as a single download or as part of the Call of Duty: Ghosts DLC Season Pass. Invasion offers four multiplayer maps from locations around the world, plus Episode 3: Awakening from the four-part Extinction narrative. Departed: A medium-sized map set in a rural Mexican town during the Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebration....

Earlier this year, it was announced that the next game in the Tomb Raider series was in development. As with previous Tomb Raider games, this release will have “mind-bending puzzles to solve”, with the promise of a “wide variety of enemies to face and overcome”. As part of this announcement, Crystal Dynamics head Scot Amos addressed the studio’s recent acquisition by Embracer, stating this collaboration has allowed the team to “redefine what a publishing relationship is for Tomb Raider”....

Lego is now firmly entrenched in the world of video games, what with its sets inspired by the likes of Mario, Sonic, and Minecraft, and that looks set to continue with an official Lego version of the iconic Atari 2600 having now been uncovered for apparent release later this year. As reported by Promobricks (via VGC), an official Lego version of the Atari 2600 console - which initially released as the Atari VCS all the way back in 1977 - complete with distinctive wooden trim, will arrive this August as part of Atari’s 50th anniversary celebrations....

With Animal Crossing: New Horizons coming out so soon, we’re all excited to see what the game brings us. New gameplay features have been introduced through the game’s trailers and we’ve even gotten to see some of the villagers from past games that will be potentially living on the island with our characters. The trailers have already confirmed that the entire Nook family will be on the island and so will villagers like Fuchsia, Stitches, and Wolfgang, but we still don’t know about a lot of our other favorite characters from the Animal Crossing franchise....

Just in case the casual Mass Effect players forgot, tomorrow, November 7, is N7 Day. It celebrates all things with the legendary BioWare space saga, including stories, livestreams, and more. And while there isn’t a new game for players to enjoy at the moment, the developer has something else in mind: It has released a series of new javelin skins for its game Anthem, which are available in-game now. According to a report, there are four skins in all, along with a new emote and wrap....

The Anthem VIP demo went live earlier today. Alright, if you’ve been paying attention to the news, it actually did a bit of the opposite. Players trying to log into the demo were stopped at the log-in screen, unable to jump in and play. At the time, we thought it was a server capacity issue. Mostly, this was due to the warning message that popped up claiming such. However, it’s come to light that Anthem‘s server issues are not about capacity at all....

All Points Bulletin: Reloaded, a reworked free-to-play version of Realtime Worlds’ multiplayer action game, will launch for PS4 and Xbox One in Q2 2015, Deep Silver, Reloaded Games and The Workshop Entertainment have announced. The game has been running successfully on PC since December 2011 and has been played by over 5 million PC gamers. APB Reloaded puts you in the near-future urban cityscape of San Paro where you can choose to play as one of two factions: Enforcer, to uphold the city’s martial law, or Criminal to cause maximum mayhem across the city....

A potential leak through datamining has revealed what Apex Legends may look like in the future, with new abilities and a number of Legend characters. These may be old concepts that have not been developed, or they may be far along. One assumes that there are always projects like new Legends in development, however given that we have only seen two DLC characters added since the launch of the game earlier this year, it does seem like a rather long list....

Every year, Apple posts a “best of” list to the App Store, showcasing its choices for the best-in-show in each major App Store category. This year, the company has awarded Sky: Children of Light the title of this year’s best iPhone game, and Hyper Light Drifter their award for best game on the iPad. Sky: Children of Light is the newest title by thatgamecompany, the developers of Flower and Journey. Visually, it retains the idiosyncratic look of the company’s previous release, and includes a more fleshed-out version of the abstract multiplayer seen in Journey....

After a 14 month development cycle, Studio Wildcard has released Scorched Earth, the first expansion for ARK: Survival Evolved. Scorched Earth promises a “completely new and different experience” from the core game, with players beginning stranded naked, dehydrated and starving on a fiery desert world. Players will need to immediately seek water, hunt for food, harvest new flora, craft new items, and build shelter from the extreme heat. The new map is composed of seven unique desert biomes: dunes, high desert, mountains, canyons, badlands, oasis and the dangerous dragon trench....

This Arrow review contains spoilers. Arrow Season 7 Episode 9 As much fun as Part 1 of the Elseworlds crossover was (Lois Lane!), Part 2 brought with it even more excitement and downright glee. Considering that past crossovers have struggled with bloated premises and lack of momentum, Elseworlds blows them all out of the water. Everyone talks a lot about seeing new villains or how our favorite characters will team up in cool action set pieces, but for my money some of the best moments in this or any crossover are the small moments between characters, many of which feel like adlibs of siblings ribbing each other because the writers and actors have developed the characters so well....

Ubisoft games have always had this odd result. Particularly with the Assassin’s Creed franchise, you can either have something that works generally well and is perfectly optimized. Or you could have something so bug-ridden that it just defies all logic. Thankfully, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is part of the former. It runs spectacularly well (Ultra High preset) on my PC rig. Back at the Consumer Entertainment Expo (CES), Microsoft announced the next evolution of their Kinect technology - Avatar Kinect. At the time, back in January, the Kinect sensor had already helped re-brand the Xbox 360 as a go-to console for the ever-coveted casual gamer. Now, we’re getting word on when to expect Avatar Kinect, which is set to show-off some new Kinect features including improved facial recognition. Kinect was a hot seller out the gate, with over 10 million sensors sold to date; however, much like the Nintendo Wii is facing, selling a lot of units doesn’t mean long-term viability....

Seeing one of my best Mechs knocked down sprawling on the floor, only to be targeted with salvos from everything the opposing side has, makes me wince. Every extra missile, laser beam, and bullet just makes me want to cover my face and watch through my fingers. Beyond Good & Evil 2 is still alive, despite more than a decade of on-again, off-again development and the departure of its creator two years ago. Narrative designer Sarah Arellano, formerly of Blizzard, today announced via Twitter that she had joined the project as its lead writer. Arellano previously worked on World of Warcraft, following a stint at Saints Row studio Volition. BioShock: The Collection has been rated by the Brazilian classifications board, months after a retail listing for the unannounced game appeared online. According to the ratings board, the game is currently in development for PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, although it isn’t yet clear when it is due to release or what it includes. You should probably expect it to contain the original BioShock, BioShock 2 and BioShock Infinite, though, enhanced for current-generation consoles....
