When Ghost Recon Breakpoint launched last month, it came with an overwhelming amount of technical issues. Fortunately, it sounds like Ubisoft’s new initiative to fix the game may be paying off. Recently, the publisher revealed new patch notes for the 1.03 update in regards to fixes with most of its problems. Alpha Protocol has been pulled from Steam as a result of Sega’s publishing rights expiring. If you go on the Steam page for Alpha Protocol, you can see the following note: ‘Notice: At the request of the publisher, Alpha Protocol is no longer available for sale on Steam.’ A spokesperson from Sega told Eurogamer, ‘Following the expiry of Sega’s publishing rights for Alpha Protocol, the title has been removed from Steam and is no longer on sale....

Back in mid July, not even two months ago, American McGee wrote a blog post asking people to please stop asking him when ‘Alice 3’ was coming out, because EA owns the title and ‘we simply need to wait until EA think the time is right.’ This weekend American McGee wrote a blog post saying he was working on a ‘proposal’ for Alice 3, called Alice: Asylum. Among Us is a social deduction game where there are innocent crewmates and an imposter who is out to kill everyone. Roblox also has quite a few games based on this theme. Here’s a bit about the concept. If you are chosen as the imposter, you are tasked with assimilating in the crowd and finding the right moment to kill a crewmate without anyone else seeing you. If you get caught in the act, an emergency meeting will be held and everyone has to vote out the suspected criminal....

Back in 1995, Disney released Pixar’s Toy Story, the first feature-length computer-generated film, and changed animation in Hollywood forever. At the time, nobody had seen anything like it before. But when former Disney head honcho Jeffrey Katzenberg’s DreamWorks Animation emerged a few years later, it seemed that the second and third CG-animated films were going to be very similar indeed. Apex Legends’ highly anticipated anime-themed Gaiden event has officially been announced for next week. The event is set to commence on July 19, before the end of Season 13, and will trickle in a plethora of event-exclusive cosmetic items. Besides this, the popular Armed and Dangerous gameplay mode is also set to return for the duration of the event. Eleventh Hour Games has successfully concluded their Last Epoch Kickstarter funding run reaching a total of $255,378. The time traveling ARPG will no go into full production mode and one of the stretch goals have already been reached which is controller support. The team is going to continue crowdfunding via their website until 24 may they hope to achieve more of their stretch goals which include more PvP modes, a lore journal, and character customisation....

Back 4 Blood may not be playable for another couple of weeks, but that’s apparently no reason we shouldn’t have a good launch trailer. The trailer was shown during the Xbox presentation at this year’s Tokyo Game Show. Full of guns, gore and zombies Ridden, the footage gives us a taste of what we can expect from the co-op shooter once it arrives. The trailer opens on four of our heroes in an alley, likely intentionally evoking that infamous first Witch encounter from Left 4 Dead before the pace very rapidly picks up....

Irrational Games has been really taking it down to the wire this year. After 9 months of silence, we’re finally getting our first bit of news about their next entry in the Bioshock series of games. Bioshock Infinite hasn’t been shrouded in mystery so much as its been completely in the dark since we last heard news of it in September of last year. What we were given at that time was a 9 minute gameplay trailer that introduced us to the main characters Booker Dewitt and Elizabeth as well as one of the two warring factions in the aerial city of Columbia, the setting for Bioshock Infinite....

Bitmap Books, the UK publisher known for its sumptuously designed line-up of retro gaming books, has announced it’s cancelling its planned unofficial Mega Drive/Genesis Visual Compendium following threats of legal action from Sega. Bitmap’s Mega Drive Visual Compendium would have been the eighth title in the striking Visual Compendium series, following books covering the gaming highlights and history of the Atari 2600/7800, Commodore 64, Amiga, ZX Spectrum, NES, SNES, and Master System....

Since its reveal, Chinese developer Game Science’s Black Myth: Wukong has wowed players. A Dark Souls-esque take on the Chinese novel Journey to the West, Black Myth: Wukong immediately stood out thanks to its state-of-the-art graphics and dynamic animations, particularly for the game’s various boss monsters. Over two years have passed since that initial reveal, however, and the long hiatuses between gameplay trailers made a release date seem far off. Fortunately, though, Game Science just came out with an official release window for Black Myth: Wukong, slated for the summer of next year....
