EA has released a ten minute short film entitled Exodus giving us an insight into the backstory of upcoming shooter Battlefield 2042. The film is available to watch on YouTube and sees the return of Battlefield 4 character Kimble “Irish” Graves. No longer a member of the USMC, he now commands the No-Pat vessel Exodus. Events involving a mysterious briefcase and a shadowy character called Oz transpire, kicking off the major conflict in Battlefield 2042....

EA has announced the details and launched a trailer for its upcoming new Mercury map for Battlefield V, which is set to come in a free title update later this week. Set during the events of Operation Mercury in 1941, the map is set on the island of Crete and sees the British taking on the Germans on a coastal map made for ‘all out war’. There’s a mansion overlooking some olive groves, a cove, a radar site, marina and village to fight over, with shades of classic maps from previous titles in the Battlefield series....

The Memorial Edition of the Berserk: The Golden Age Arc films is coming to Crunchyroll, and the streaming service has released a promo trailer teasing the enhanced versions’ features. Streamed via Crunchyroll’s official YouTube channel on Sept. 21, the trailer offers an overview of the arc’s story, characters and the Memorial Editions’ features, including remastered visuals and songs. All three films are set to hit the service on Oct. 1, though this will only be the case for the versions with Japanese audio and English subtitles....

Elder Scrolls and Fallout maker Bethesda is retiring its PC launcher in May. Beginning in April, you’ll be able to migrate your library of games and outstanding wallet funds to Steam instead. “Many games” will also have their saves migrated, though not all. Some will require manual transfers. More information will be published next month, Bethesda said, when the migration process becomes available. Borderlands 3 has had a bit of a shaky launch with some console users complaining about the performance while others are experiencing a severe lag in split-screen mode, and now PC gamers are running into problems with Microsoft’s latest DX12 API. Gearbox has announced that the Epic Games Store has nabbed Borderlands 3 as a timed-exclusive for PC, as previously leaked. The loot-shooter will only be available for PC on Epic’s digital storefront for a period of six months, from its release on September 13 to April 2020. Once that’s done and dusted, it’ll show up on other digital outlets. ‘The PC gaming community has been an important part of the success of the Borderlands series, and we are excited to be partnering with Epic who recognise its worldwide popularity and share in our commitment to bring Borderlands 3 to this rapidly expanding audience,’ said David Ismailer, president of 2K....

The Elder Scrolls Online: High Isle, the latest chapter added to the MMORPG, is out now on PC, Mac, and Stadia, with console versions due 21st June. The chapter takes place in the previously unexplored Mediterranean-inspired Systres Archipelago, home of the Bretons (descendants of humans and elves). Bye-Bye Boxboy!, a unique 2D puzzle platformer, will launch for 3DS exclusively via the eShop on March 23, Nintendo has announced.
