Apple has announced it will be raising its App Store prices in multiple territories - including every country that uses the euro, but excluding the UK at present - starting on 5th October. As per an update shared with developers, which did not provide an explanation for the impending price hike, Apple said the move will impact all tiers of its App Store pricing chart in the following areas: Chile, Egypt, Japan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Poland, South Korea, Sweden, Vietnam, and all territories that use the euro currency....

The PS4 and Xbox One versions of simulation racer Assetto Corsa have been delayed again, 505 Games has confirmed, and now won’t launch in Europe until August 26 and North America until August 30. The console versions had previously been due to release on June 3, having been delayed from their initial April 22 date. 505 has not discussed the reason behind the further delay. Assetto Corsa launched on PC in 2014 following a year in Early Access, and has been celebrated by critics and developers for its impressive physics....

A free Survival Mode has been released for Banner Saga 2, Stoic and Versus Evil have announced. In Survival Mode players have to assemble a combat team from a wide range of existing Banner Saga heroes. Once their team is complete, combat begins, but beware, perma-death in battle is real and once lost, a hero can not be brought back. To complete the mode players will need to survive 40 back-to-back combat levels....

On the eve of Nuketown ’84 arriving in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, developer Treyarch has deployed a patch that covers a number of issues across the multiplayer and zombies modes. Naughty Dog has revealed that The Last of Us and The Last of Us: Remastered have sold a combined 17 million copies worldwide. The news comes as the acclaimed post-apocalyptic title celebrates its fifth anniversary, having first launched on PlayStation 3 on June 14, 2013. Gearbox has offered an idea as to how long Borderlands 3’s main campaign will last you, and it’s good news. Swordplay in Destiny 2 is getting a huge redesign. Very few Destiny 2 players use swords. You can tell this just by running around in the game’s open areas and see what weapons they use. Swords are hardly ever part of a standard loadout, and while they can be fun, few of Destiny 2’s bosses or game modes call for swords as the ideal weapon. But that might be about to change....

Since the MMORPG arrived in the west last month, some players have expressed disappointment in both the gender locked classes and the prevalence of revealing female outfits. The class of your in-game character is tied to their gender. For example, only men can be warriors and only women can be mages. A blog post from developer Smilegate last year acknowledged this as an issue, but Park states the female Berserker is the next class to hit the game in Korea....
