Call of Duty : Black Ops 3 has been knocking about for just over two years now, but that hasn’t stopped developer Treyarch from releasing a new update for the futuristic first-person shooter today. Black Ops 3 update 1.27 isn’t just a rudimentary bug-squashing patch either; it adds both a brand new map and game mode for the game in the shape of Redwood Snow and Infected, respectively. There’s also some ‘general performance updates’ thrown into the mix, although these were not detailed....
Treyarch has rolled out a new Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 trailer highlighting the newly-launched Infected mode. Infected is live for the PlayStation 4 version of the military shooter, and has a pretty simple concept. You have a group of players, one of which is turned into a zombie at the beginning of the match; his job is to kill and infect everyone else, thus winning the match. The other players, obviously, must avoid becoming infected until the timer runs out....
Nintendo has announced that Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ Winter themed update will release later this week, on November 19. UbiSoft is set to release what they are calling the Assassin’s Creed Origins Animus Control Panel for the PC this month. This new update to the game is aimed specifically at PC players and it will make the game even more tweakable with 75 changeable parameters set within 11 categories so players can create different experiences. Atari is bringing Venetica, a new action role-playing game, to North America. Developed by Deck 13 Interactive and published by DTP Entertainment, the game was released in Germany in December of last year, with a PlayStation 3 release following in early November 2010 in the UK. Co-founders Sefton Hill and Jamie Walker are leaving Rocksteady, the studio behind the Batman Arkham games and the upcoming Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. In a statement announcing their departure on the Rocksteady website, Warner Bros. Games’ David Haddad praised the duo’s work, complimenting their commitment to “the highest quality and excellence across all facets of game development”. He continued: “With Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League nearly finished, they have both decided to leave Rocksteady at the end of 2022 and will begin a new adventure in gaming....

The fallout continues from the ransomware attack that targeted Nvidia, as it has been discovered that some of the company’s older GPU drivers can now conceal malware. According to TechPowerUp, stolen code-signing certificates are being used to place malware on unsuspecting PCs. This was also confirmed by @BillDemirkapi on Twitter. The code-signing certificates expired in 2014 and 2018, but that doesn’t stop Windows from recognizing these as legitimate. And this could be a massive issue for those who aren’t sure what to look out for....
