Originally released on PC way back in 2011, Clockstone’s Bridge Constructor became an indie darling which challenged—and potentially frustrated—the minds of Steam users with a delightful assemblage of physics puzzles. It has since been ported the PS4 and Xbox One, as well as iOS and Android, and its success garnered a suite of spin-offs, the most well-known of which would be 2017’s Bridge Constructor: Portal. January 2020 finally saw the release of a Nintendo Switch port of the Ultimate Edition, and, while the console doesn’t quite allow for the smoothest of experiences, it’s still a totally viable way to experience this gem of a puzzler....

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is quickly becoming gaming’s worst kept secret of 2018, with yet more evidence pointing to its existence emerging this week, albeit in a slightly more unorthodox manner. A familiar ‘IIII’ orange logo, which resembles the one that has been used in the Black Ops franchise, was spotted on the baseball cap of NBA superstar James ‘The Beard’ Harden earlier this week. Sources close to Kotaku later confirmed that this is indeed the official logo for the as-yet unannounced first-person shooter....

It’s been known for a while that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be seeing multiple open betas in September. This month will give fans their best hands-on look at the game’s multiplayer yet, but when they’ll be able to access it will depend on a number of factors. The powers that be at Call of Duty have announced that those who digitally preorder Modern Warfare 2 will be able to play through the game’s campaign eight days before its official release. So, instead of waiting until the 28th October to flex your muscles with Captain Price and co, you will be able to get a headstart on the 20th October instead. Four GameStop stores in several cities in California were robbed at gunpoint in 2018. The robber, Frederick Lopez Jr., has been sentenced to 10 years in prison. Lopez Jr. stole $131,000 dollars in merchandise and $1,300 in cash across the four robberies. An investigation by local police departments and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives determined that the robber walked into the GameStop stores late at night, brandished a gun, and demanded employees to fill store bags with consoles, video games and cash....

Being the 2018 Gamers’ Choice Awards winner for Favorite Male Gamer of the Year certainly seems to have its perks. As Apex Legends continues to gain speed at a meteoric rate, popular Twitch streamer and Apex Legends partner, TimTheTatman, may have brought to light a potential new character in the works at Respawn Entertainment. In response to Respawn CEO Vince Zampella’s tweet when Apex Legends hit 10 million players in 72 hours, Tim tweeted, “How many rts for a thiccc tattooed character,” which is likely in partial reference to the physical features of the popular streamer, even though Tim’s current main is tatted big-guy Gibraltar....

Ubisoft is now reportedly targeting a 2023 release window for its next Assassin’s Creed game, which is expected to be a smaller, stealth-focused edition of the series. Codenamed Rift (though likely not its final title), this is the Baghdad-focused project which originally began life as a Valhalla expansion. It has since grown its own fully-fledged project, albeit tighter in scope than other recent, sprawling Assassin’s Creed entries. Originally reported to arrive later this year (though still to be officially announced by Ubisoft itself), Bloomberg has now stated that Rift will arrive in either May or June 2023....

Some of you may remember that back in 2007, Microsoft laid out plans for IPTV services on the Xbox 360. Launch windows have come and gone, and many eager 360 users (myself included) had pretty much forgotten about it. But now, a leaked internal memo shows that the Xbox 360 may finally have the feature added as soon as November 7, 2010. The document in question shows that AT&T’s U-Verse service should be the first offering from any content providers to play nice with Microsoft’s machine....

Henry Louis Wallace’s first victim was Sharon Nance, a prostitute he killed and dumped by the railroad tracks in May 1992. On March 13, 1994, Wallace was arrested and confessed to the murders of 10 women to Detective Garry McFadden, the only African American on the homicide squad at the time, and his team at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg police department....

Ms. Pac-Man has been transformed into Pac-Mom in Bandai Namco’s Arcade Archives: Pac-Land game, likely due to an ongoing dispute over rights. Ms. Pac-Man is known for her red bow and boots, but in this new game Pac-Mom has taken over - sporting pink stilettos, hat and gloves. Huh?! Twitter user Nick C spotted the change and shared it online. Looks like Baby Pac has also been changed. So why the change?...

Shotguns have always been a staple of Battlefield. Lars Gustavsson, creative director on the Battlefield series, is leaving its developer DICE after more than 20 years at the studio. News of Gustavsson’s departure from Battlefield, DICE, and indeed EA as a whole, was announced by Battlefield general manager Byron Beede in a blog post detailing the future of the long-running first-person shooter series. “Lars Gustavsson, who has been with the franchise since the beginning and is affectionately known as Mr Battlefield, has decided he is ready for a new adventure,” Beede wrote....

Battlefield Hardline has become the UK’s fastest-selling title of 2015 so far, debuting at the top of this week’s all-formats charts.
