A statement from Cliff Bleszinski reads: Cliff Bleszinski left Epic in 2012 following success with Gears of War and went into retirement before reappearing in 2014 to announce his new studio Boss Key Productions. Lawbreakers was then announced in August 2016. Four years ago I set out to make a world-class video game studio and I hired some of the best talent in the videogame industry....

Bossa Studios, developers of 100% accurate medical title Surgeon Simulator, have hired former Valve employee Chet Faliszek to direct an upcoming PC title. Faliszek, who announced his departure from Valve in May 2017, is known for his narrative work on Half-Life 2, Portal and Left 4 Dead. In a twitter post today, Faliszek sketches out what he’ll be working on at Bossa. He says he’ll be directing an “unannounced PC action co-op game trying to do something new in the narrative space using AI”....

Electronic Arts has confirmed it’s investigating reports of Anthem crashing PlayStation 4 consoles. The troubled sci-fi loot shooter has had its fair share of technical hiccups since its February 22 launch. Over the weekend, reports started cropping up on Anthem’s subreddit that the game had been causing a number of headaches for PS4 owners, including shutting off the console completely. Some users reported that their system would not even turn back on after Anthem crashed....

Anthem, the upcoming Destiny-esque sci-fi behemoth from Mass Effect developer BioWare, will be released on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One in March 2019, publisher Electronic Arts has said. The industry giant confirmed the news during its earnings call overnight, with Blake Jorgensen revealing Anthem ‘will be shipped in the last quarter of the year and in the last month of that quarter.’ That’s March in case you wondered, which means that the game will be hitting shelves just in time to contribute to EA’s current financial year, presumably by making a ton of cash....

Shadowfall, a spooky limited-time mode in Apex Legends, starts as a nighttime Solos Mode but then pits surviving players against undead fallen Legends. The undead characters are collectively known as the Shadow Squad. As Shadow Legends, they are unable to use weapons or their character abilities. However, the shadow beings move extremely quickly and deal 158 melee damage. This means they can knock a still-alive, fully-shielded Legend with only a couple of melee attacks....
