Sony released a list of the most downloaded Playstation 4 games of October 2019. This list of best selling PS4 games only includes games downloaded via the PSN store, but the top sellers this month aren’t a huge surprise. Via a post on the Playstation blog, Sony released the lists of best selling PS4 games in four separate categories: PS4 Games, PSVR Games, Free-To-Play Games, and DLC/Expansions. The number one on the PS4 list was, of course, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare....

That’s the major curveball that “Wiedersehen,” the penultimate episode of Better Call Saul Season 4, throws and it’s my own fault that I didn’t telegraph it earlier. I had just assumed that, since its set in stone that Jimmy McGill becomes the criminal lawyer Saul Goodman, Jimmy’s suspension from practicing the law was just a roadblock to delay the inevitable; of course he’d be reinstated after the Season 4 holding period....

The sequel to Blade Runner will open in the US on January 12, 2018 in North America, Warner Bros. has announced. Release timing outside of the US is being handled by Sony Pictures, who is yet to confirm a date. The sequel will star Ryan Gosling under the direction of Prisoners helmer Denis Villeneuve. Harrison Ford also reprises his role as Rick Deckard. The film picks up several decades after Ridley Scott’s original, which saw ex-police officer Deckard hunting escaped replicants in 2019 Los Angeles....

Bleach: Immortal Soul is an upcoming turn-based mobile RPG that’ll let you play as your favorite fiery-haired, giant-sword-wielding Human-Shinigami hybrid Ichigo Kurosaki in his journey to become a Soul Reaper. Hong Kong-based publishers Oasis Games will be releasing the game this coming March. Look at that, yet another March 2020 release! Us gamers are going to be flat broke by the end of it. The great thing about Bleach: Immortal Soul, however, is that it’ll be a free-to-play game....

Across the globe, countries are watching the war in Ukraine as it happens. Various companies in the video game industry are standing in solidarity with Ukraine, halting sales of their games. Many others are also helping in various ways, including purchasing the Itch.io charity bundle. Now, Overwatch players can show their support for the country by representing the Ukrainian flag on your profiles. Professional Overwatch player Crimzo noticed the new addition and shared it on Twitter....

Following the start of Overwatch 2’s beta yesterday, Blizzard has seen its highest numbers for the game yet on Twitch. The Overwatch team tweeted, “about to get real! Together we reached over 1.5m concurrent views, the highest day ever for Overwatch on Twitch. Let’s go!” For those that missed out on yesterday’s beta, don’t worry. Blizzard says it is “planning additional tests” beyond this first beta - so don’t think this was your only shot....

Gearbox and 2K Games have announced Borderlands 3 a couple of weeks ago, pulling us back into an addictive franchise that we missed. It will only be a few months before we get to play the game since it releases on September 13th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Many things will be different this time around, the main core though will still be “Borderlands”. As a franchise, Borderlands always included a vibrant world, a fun character and, of course, a gazillion guns....

Borderlands 3 is out now, giving fans a chance to explore the game world and find all sorts of unique weapons. The best weapons in the game are Legendary Weapons, which often double as pop culture references. Some of the most sought after Legendary Weapons in the game include the Rick and Morty shotgun, as well as the One Punch Man gun - referred to as the One Pump Chump shotgun in-game....

The first major update to Borderlands 3 has dealt a major blow to FL4K critical hit focused build. For most players there was an easy combination of skills and a weapon in order to deal massive damage to targets, but that has since been taken away. Was the nerf too harsh? That’s for players to determine. Massive Queen’s Call Nerf For those that might be familiar, one of the best weapons in Borderlands 3 for FL4K was the Queen’s Call (or King’s Call) pistol....

Looter shooter Borderlands 3‘s latest update has gone live, headlined by the addition of crossplay between Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Mac and Stadia. However, as was revealed by Gearbox head Randy Pitchford last month, PlayStation owners are not able to join in with crossplay. Pitchford claimed the studio was “required by the publisher” to remove the feature for the game on Sony’s systems, and it seems an agreement couldn’t be reached before the update went live....

The third installment of Gearbox and 2K Games’ irreverent looter-shooter has gone gold, as announced by the Gearbox Twitter account yesterday. For the moment, fans can marvel at the planetary profile of Promethea, one of the many interstellar destinations available to traverse and explode and plunder to their heart’s delight. Speaking of avid destruction, new Vault Hunter Zane was introduced in a video short released the other day; he seems like a pleasant and well-adjusted fellow....

Borderlands 3 has been out for nearly a week at this point, but the game has had some technical problems since launch and some missing features, like the lack of vertical split-screen. Gearbox Software has since released a hot fix to address some of the lingering issues with the game, as well as make some balance changes, but it may not be quite as substantial as some would have hoped....

Borderlands 3 is gearing up to launch its second story DLC in the form of ‘Guns, Love, and Tentacles’ which is focused on the wedding of Sir Hammerlock and Wainwrights Jakobs. While many fans are excited to dive into this Lovecraftian-inspired DLC, one quick shot in the DLC’s reveal trailer showcased a popular returning Vault Hunter: Gaige. She was one of the DLC Vault Hunters in Borderlands 2 and quickly grew to be a fan-favorite, and with Gaige being the second character to return in DLCs from previous titles, it begs the question of who Gearbox should bring back next in future DLCs....

The first Borderlands is the self-touted original looter shooter, a trendsetter that spurred various shooters to take similar approaches. Now, there are tons currently available such as Warframe, The Division 2, Destiny 2, and of course, Borderlands 3. Each looter shooter is great in its own right, with each offering a unique take on raids and loot, but arguably, Destiny 2 and Borderlands 3 are currently the biggest. This begs the question as to which is better?...

Sony has announced November’s games for PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to pick up for no additional cost next month, including the first game for PlayStation 5 owners in the form of the next-generation version of Bugsnax. The offerings kick off on November 3, when action adventure Middle Earth: Shadow of War and metroidvania Hollow Knight: Voidheart Edition until November 30. Then, on November 12 or November 19—depending on your region—PlayStation 5 owners can grab that console’s version of Bugsnax, and will actually be able for an extended period, not leaving the service until January 4 2021....

Bungie is preparing for the launch of Destiny 2’s Shadowkeep expansion in a major way. Shadowkeep is meant to be a transformative moment for the Destiny franchise as Bungie positions itself for an independent future. Part of that involves the launch of Destiny 2 New Light, a free-to-play version of the game. Bungie’s now ready to talk about another part of preparing for Shadowkeep, which is bringing current Destiny 2 players up to date on content for cheap or for free....

The fourth season of Bungo Stray Dogs is still a ways away, but the anime has received a new piece of key art to tide fans over with. Released on Oct. 4 via the official Bungo Stray Dogs website, the key art offers a glimpse at what the impending conflict between the Armed Detective Agency and the Hunting Dogs will entail. Both factions can be seen diving into a fight, with the Armed Detective Agency on the left and the Hunting Dogs on the right....

When most people hear Call of Duty, they immediately think of the massive AAA FPS title developed by Infinity Ward, Treyarch, and Sledgehammer Games. What makes Call of Duty such a well-known series is its controversial story missions and addictive multiplayer. The multiplayer, in particular, is known for its adrenaline-fueled gameplay with destructive weapons and even stronger killstreaks. Using a good weapon in multiplayer matches can help earn those killstreaks and guarantee victory....

Every year we get a Call of Duty game. Every year we hear the same complaints and criticisms from its dedicated player base. Whether it’s the repetitive content, matchmaking woes, woefully ignored single-player experience, and much more, it seems folks have made up their minds about what each iteration of the Call of Duty franchise brings. With that in mind, Treyarch and Beenox have set about reinventing the game with Black Ops 4....

The beta for Blackout, Call of Duty’s foray into battle royale, is coming next week and will support 80 players in each match, Treyarch has announced. In an interview with Game Informer, Treyarch bigwig Dan Bunting said the developer had been aiming for 100 players while testing in-house, but essentially the studio wanted gameplay to be ‘as refined as it can be,’ rather than hitting that number for the beta....
