Bohemia Interactive, developer of military simulation game Arma 3, has asked fans to watch out for edited in-game videos being shared around social media that are falsely labelled as real-world war footage. Specifically, Bohemia has called for players and content creators to “use their game footage responsibly”, “refrain from using clickbait video titles” and “always state clearly that the video originated from a video game” rather than footage from a real-life conflict....

Fans of Half-Life will be happy to know that there is an Indiegogo campaign currently going on that seeks to build both cellphone power banks and chargers styled after the H.E.V. charger stations present in the game. Half-Life is a first-person science fiction horror game that was developed by Valve and published by Sierra in 1998. At the time of its release, Valve co-founder Gabe Newell stated that he expected the lifetime sales of the game to only reach 180,000 units, but to his surprise, the game became an instant success....

Fans and analysts alike have speculated that Bungie will release Destiny 3 in 2020, perhaps alongside the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 consoles. However, it appears as though Bungie is not ready to move on from Destiny 2 just yet. The Destiny 2020 Director’s Cut post from Bungie suggests that the studio will be focused on Destiny 2 throughout 2020 and even going into next year, so fans shouldn’t expect to see Destiny 3 until 2021 at the earliest....

It’s been a good run, we have to admit, but all good things must come to an end. Next month Destiny developer Bungie, which created the Halo franchise, will be closing down its website reminder of the past. The Halo branch of its site will be no more, which includes series backstory, community posts, and player stats. The announcement is tucked away in the studio’s latest weekly post, and the nature of it is a bit sad to be honest....

Destiny 2: Forsaken won’t be out until September 4, fans are eagerly anticipating what promises to be a gamechanger for the franchise. Bungie, who have faced criticism due to their handling of the sequel, provided an updated Development Roadmap for Destiny 2. There will be some big changes with Update 2.0.0 even before Forsaken releases. As you can see below, Destiny 2 players will see updates for Milestones and Challenges as well as new Heroic missions....

Activision and Treyarch have polished off a new Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 trailer at Gamescom this week, offering a glance at the military shooter’s Arsenal map (via PST). The footage clocks in at just over 12 minutes and features gameplay from Black Ops 4’s Hardpoint mode. I’m sure a hardcore CoD fan would say that there’s a lot of tactical play going on in the video, but to me it just looks like a bunch of men shooting at each other and getting lucky....

Ubisoft has unsheathed the final chapter of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s Legacy of the First Blade DLC, with Bloodlines now available to grab for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One. Aside from wrapping up narrative surrounding the Order of the Ancients, Bloodlines adds the Fury of the Bloodline ability, allowing you to unleash a flurry of deadly blows with the Spear of Leonidas. Completing the mission will also unlock a new weapon, although you’ll need to repair it before you can use it in battle....

Atari has announced Tempest 4000 (https://www.atari.com/news/legendary-game-designer-jeff-minter-and-atari-team-adrenaline-pumping-reboot-classic-arcade-sci), a sequel to the arcade classic Tempest, and it’s coming out in 2017 for consoles and PC. The best bit is that Tempest 2000 creator, Jeff Minter, is back on board. So obviously they’ve hugged it out and moved on. Tempest 4000 is being developed with the aim of reviving the gameplay of the earlier title and with Minter on board it should ensure that the game retains the authenticity it’s known for....

Ask and you shall receive (eventually): Back 4 Blood is getting a solo offline mode along with campaign progression in December. Granted, it’s a bit late in the making. But solo players of the Left 4 Dead successor will no doubt feel rejoiced over the news. Back 4 Blood is an excellent co-op shooter from the makers of Left 4 Dead, but it wasn’t perfect. The game had some balance issues that needed to be ironed out, and the team at Turtle Rock Studios is working on it....

Larian Studios announced Baldur’s Gate III during the Stadia Connect last month with an ominous cinematic trailer. Today Bandai Namco announced that its anime-style MMORPG Blue Protocol will get another network test “in preparation for release.” If you’re unfamiliar with what a “network test” is, it’s basically how Japanese developers tend to call a beta test designed to check the resilience of a game’s online features and servers. Batman: Arkham Knight’s next story-based DLC launches on July 14, Warner Bros. has confirmed. Set prior to the events or Arkham Asylum, ‘Batgirl: A Matter of Family’ will feature Barbara Gordon (Batgirl) as a playable character for the first time in the Arkham series, and is set in a new location with side missions and secrets to complement the main quest. Players will also be able to team up with and play as Robin using Arkham Knight’s Dual Play functionality....

The long-awaited interim patch for Batman: Arkham Knight is now available to download – a day after the update was mistakenly released to Steam beta users. The update can be downloaded by those who already have the game, with Warner not yet ready to put the game back on sale. Below, the roguelike from Capybara Games, will finally release this summer for Xbox One and Steam, a new trailer has revealed. The indie game was announced way back at E3 2013, so will hopefully sneak out before its three year announcement anniversary.
