In some not-so-surprising news, developer Gearbox Software has revealed that Borderlands 3 is getting even more content. Yes, the sequel to the game that never stopped getting DLC, is getting more DLC! Season pass 2 for Borderlands 3 kicks off on November 10, when the “Designer’s Cut” content arrives. Designer’s Cut will deliver an additional skill tree for each Vault Hunter and a brand-new game mode called Arms Race. Beyond that, the team hasn’t revealed much, except a list of livestream times on when we’ll hear more....

Update 2/20: Eli Roth has now been officially confirmed to be the Borderlands movie director. Original story follows. A Borderlands movie adaptation was officially announced last year, and it looks like it’s found its director. Gearbox Software CEO Randy Pitchford tweeted out and then quickly deleted the announcement that the Borderlands movie would be directed by Eli Roth, with more information set to come at PAX East on February 27....

Apex Legends developer Respawn Entertainment has announced a new event for the battle royale title this month. Dubbed the September Soiree, the event celebrates existing modes and skins from previous events, specifically the ones that fans clung onto. A different mode will return each Tuesday from today, with the final mode dropping September 29. The first limited time mode in the September Soiree will feature Dummies Big Day. This mode makes you pick a character color and survive while using surprise abilities and ultimates....

Today the developers at Wild Bunch Production released a new gameplay video if the upcoming Wild Arms spiritual successor Armed Fantasia. Bandai Namco, the publisher of Elden Ring, has reportedly been the victim of a ransomware attack. The group behind the attack, apparently, is ALPHV ransomware group. Battlefield V developer DICE has slapped an early September window on the first-person shooter’s upcoming Open Beta. The news comes during an extensive blog post where the studio detailed all of the various bits and bobs it has learned from the recent Closed Alpha. DICE gathered a lot of valuable feedback on areas including matchmaking, which it will be improving between now and launch. Stability is another major issue, and the good news is the studio ‘almost hit our target for stability,’ though said there’s room for more improvement....
