Today Ubisoft announced that Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection will be released for Nintendo Switch. The collection that has been released for PS4 and Xbox One all the way back in 2016 will finally land on Nintendo’s console on Feb. 17, 2022. Better late than never, I guess. It’ll include the trilogy featuring Ezio Auditore including Assassin’s Creed II, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, and Assassin’s Creed Revelations. Ubisoft has revealed this year’s highly-anticipated installment of the Assassin’s Creed series. The game is called Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and moves the action to ninth-century Europe during the Viking Age. The story stars a Viking raider named Eivor, who will travel from Norway to several kingdoms of Medieval England. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is a new game from Massive Entertainment, and it has has a reveal trailer. During the Ubisoft Forward showcase, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora made itself known, with a Na’vi-filled trailer. An intense series of BattleBots-style cage matches can now be found on Twitch. Appearing on the streaming platform in October, “RobotConflict” is a channel that is dedicated to bringing people glorious mechanized fights. RobotConflict recently livestreamed the fights from Motorama Robot Conflict 2020 – a double-elimination tournament held in Harrisburg, PA. Some players have found themselves being banned form Battlestate Games’ online shooter Escape from Tarkov and the developer has stepped in to explain why this is happening. Bethesda mouthpiece Pete Hines has teased he’s ‘privy’ to a few details on the next generation of consoles from Sony and Microsoft, though (unsurprisingly) isn’t in a position to talk about anything just yet. THQ Nordic has announced that the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S and versions of Biomutant will be out on September 6th. The next-gen versions will be free to anyone that had purchased the original. And they will add 4K resolution, HDR support, and frame rate boosted “up to 60fps.” The new versions will feature three different graphical modes: Quality, Quality Unleashed, and Performance. On PS5, there will be DualSense features and Activity Cards....

Developer Ronimo Games and publisher Devolver Digital have revealed Blightbound, a grim and apocalyptic dungeon crawler to be played with pals on PC (via Game Informer). Three players—taking on the role of warrior, assassin, or mage—will descend into the lowlands and fight the abominations of the Blight, twisted and corrupted by the body of a fallen titan. The setting is hand painted with real-time 3D models and lighting effects, creating the harsh and uncompromising regions of Gravemark, Underhold, and Blood Ridge....

Bloober Team has really been churning out those psychological horror games lately. It hasn’t been that long since it dropped off Blair Witch, and today it revealed The Medium. The trailer for the game, which was shown during the Inside Xbox 2020 event, naturally doesn’t explain too much. But for the first time in my memory, Bloober seems to be stepping away from the first-person-only perspective. The Medium looks akin to Silent Hill, and Bloober seems to be embracing that comparison in more than one way....

Sony has emphasised the importance of PS4 exclusive Bloodborne ahead of the game’s release next week, describing the gothic action title as an “invaluable” release for the platform.
