A closed alpha for Battlefield 1 is due to begin this week, according to a report by GameSpot. A reference to the unannounced multiplayer test was made in a preview published by the site on Sunday, where it discussed the demo on display at last week’s E3. “And I’ve only spent an hour in the maps that will be available in the game’s closed alpha next week,” the previewer says, “so I can’t say whether this unpredictability will become rote as I play more of the multiplayer shooter....

A new EU law could be passed that would force Apple to allow users to install third-party apps on their devices, a process known as sideloading.
