Today Activision made the first official reveal of the upcoming Call of Duty game, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (or Modern Warfare II, if you prefer Roman numerals). The game, which is developed by Infinity Ward, will release on October 28, 2022. The platforms have not been officially announced, but we can likely expect the usual slate of PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. Alongside the release date, we also learn about the characters that we’ll meet in the game, and most are well-known to Call of Duty veterans, including Captain John Price, Simon “Ghost” Riley, John “Soap” MacTavish, and Kyle ‘Gaz’ Garrick....

It’s Friday and that means it’s time to relax and unwind from the long week. To that end, I recommend sitting down and zoning out to music. Seeing as we are a gaming site, I obviously have to make it relate to video games. I happened across this excellent piece of music from electronic cellist Brianna Tam. According to Prime Gaming’s announcement, the May Games With Prime lineup includes Youku’s Island Express, Healer’s Quest, Beholder, The Blind Prophet, and A Blind Legend. All five of these games will drop on Monday, so you can claim all of them at once. Meanwhile, it’s your last chance to grab this month’s lineup: The Escapists, Before I Forget, Aces of the Luftwaffe – Squadron, Moving Out, and Move or Die Couch Party Edition....

On Thursday, November 3, we’ll finally get to see the full reveal for AMD’s Radeon RX 7000 Series based on the RDNA 3. The presentation will showcase the reference designs by AMD, specs, performance benchmarks, new features, and hopefully prices. Fortunately, we get a nice little preview thanks to HXL on Twitter that appears to be legitimate. The leaked photos contain two snapshots of the graphics card design next to the prior gen RX 6000 Series....

Developer Innersloth has published a new dev log talking about progress on a few updates coming to social murder game Among Us, which is set to increase the number of players in a lobby up to 15. In their April Dev Log Update, the team talk on how progress on the updates is shaping up, including fixing several visual bugs and authentication issues that have popped up since the game added accounts in its recent Airship update....

Electronic Arts has announced that it will roll out two demos for BioWare’s Anthem early next year before release. First up is the VIP Demo, which will be available January 25-27, 2019. To get in on the action, you’ll have to pre-order Anthem or be a subscriber to EA Access or Origin Access. In addition, those who participate in the demo will receive a special in-game item for bragging rights, which is always nice....

Like any endeavor that involves technological marvels, Anthem dazzles its way onto your screens be it with these flying contraptions or just the world around you. UPDATE: Ape Escape 2 is now available to download from PlayStation Store. The PS4 release costs £7.99, although PS Plus members can get it for a slightly cheaper £5.99 until August 9. ORIGINAL REPORT: Trophies for a PS4 version of Ape Escape 2 have appeared on Exophase, suggesting it could be the next PS2 Classic to arrive on current-gen. Electronic Arts recently revealed that Apex Legends Season 12: Defiance set records for the highest engagement since the game’s launch. This information was provided yesterday, when EA announced its preliminary results for the fourth quarter of the fiscal year, which refers to the period between January 1 and March 31, 2022. This increase in engagement may be thanks, in part, to the celebration of the three-year anniversary and the release of the 9v9 Control LTM that changed up the gameplay in a significant way....

With every Assassin’s Creed game that’s released comes a new story along with a bunch of supporting characters. Some of these have been quite memorable, such as the likes of Leonardo da Vinci and Niccolo Machievelli, while there have been others we just couldn’t wait to be written out. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey continued this trend by having solid supporting characters we wanted to see more of, but also presented us with certain characters we found endlessly annoying or unlikeable....

A new Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood trailer has been released, showing off some of the single player features in Rome. Which the narrator tells us is the biggest map ever created for an Assassins Creed game. Rome is three times the size of the Florence map from Assassin’s Creed 2. This demo was shown at Gamescom 2010 this year. In the trailer shown above, Ubisoft attempts to show us some of the “new” features that will be in Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, but really it just seems like they are adding minor details and claiming it is going to change the dull and repetitive gameplay that we have experienced in AC 1 and 2....

Ubisoft has revealed that Assassin’s Creed III will boast a heap of gameplay and visual improvements in its remastered form on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. For starters, Connor’s epic American Revolution adventure will feature 4K and HDR support for PS4 Pro and Xbox One X, complemented by high resolution textures, a new lighting rendering system, and other spruced up visual effects. That’s not all, either. We’re also promised improvements to gameplay mechanics, with ‘several features being revamped or tweaked....

Following last year’s announcement that a trio of Avatar movies were in development, we may have received our first clue as to when we can expect the second to release. As reported by Avatar News, sources claim that a film centered around the Fire Lord Zuko is on the cards, with a tentative release window of 2026. The three films are being treated as standalone stories as opposed to an ongoing trilogy, and as such, there remains a potential that their production order could be amended, if required....

Axiom Verge 2 got a surprise release date announcement for today, and it’ll be available soon on the Epic Games Store. The reveal was made during today’s Nintendo Indie World Showcase. For those who have been following the game’s progress, Axiom Verge 2 has been hit by a number of delays. But after two years since its reveal, you will soon have the game in your hands. The game’s creator, Thomas Happ, took to Twitter this morning to follow up on the Indie World announcement....

In February, Den of Geek descended into a dungeon-like underground bar in Paris to take part in a preview event for Baldur’s Gate 3. Journalists sat on pews in a chapel-like room to watch Larian studio head Swen Vincke play through a few hours of the highly anticipated RPG.
