Since the Borderlands 3 release date arrived last month, Gearbox Software has launched several BL3 patches and hotfixes that have made a number of adjustments to the game. Mundfish’s Atomic Heart got a new teaser trailer, and it’s a lot (via PC Gamer). Early in 2016 Xaviant started pushing their battle royale game The Culling into the public eye and it looked promising. Since mid last year, the game has seen many changes and one thing developers Zaviant probably didn’t realise would happen is the genre would really take off. Frustratingly for Xaviant it wasn’t The Culling that captured gamers’ imagination, it was PUBG and then Fortnite. The Culling only left Early Access in October this year and player numbers never picked up on launch with them now down at double digits....

DICE has confirmed in a post on Twitter that Battlefield V has now gone gold, and those of you who pick up the game during launch week can claim two in-game bonus items. As Oskar Gabrielson notes in the video, Battlefield V was originally slated to appear on October 19 before being pushed back one month. The free gifts come in the shape of an ‘Oscar Mike’ helmet and emblem, and can be downloaded in the shipments section of Battlefield V’s Armory upon booting up the game....

Battlefield V developer DICE has released a new update for the game’s battle royale mode, Firestorm. Among the changes include a buff to the Armor Plate limit, which has been increased to five. Player health has been increased from 200 to 300 when in a downed state, and Firestorm now offers more XP-giving opportunities, as DICE felt it was a bit lacking in comparison to other modes. Meanwhile, vehicle deaths have also been tweaked, so that the player’s body is shoved outside of the vehicle, and it’s now possible to be revived during Duo and Squads....
