Assassin’s Creed: Origins is taking inspiration from the series past, which ironically is the future, by re-introducing tomb raiding in the Egyptian action-adventure. Ubisoft wants to reintroduce the more realistic tomb raiding from Assassin’s Creed 2, according to Origins creative director Ashraf Ismail. In an interview from the latest issue of OPM, via GamesRadar Ismail said that Origins will feature authentically recreated Egyptian tombs, stating that,‘We have quite a few tombs in the game, and they range from being classical puzzles to navigation puzzles and navigation challenges’....

Today, during the 4th Anniversary Livestream of the global version of Azur Lane, publisher Yostar revealed the next event coming to the game. The event is titled Operation Covergence and it focuses on the Iron Blood. It’ll start on August 18 and end on August 31. It’ll feature Battlecruiser Brunhilde, Heavy Cruiser Blucher, and Destroyer Z16. It also includes “sporty” skins for all three on top of Isuzu, Kirov, U-96, Hornet, Weser, and Magdeburg....

Bandai Namco is going through a rebranding, and its notorious vibrant logo with splashes of orange and yellow will change completely. Instead, the logo will follow the trend of simplification, with plain text surrounded by a purple speech bubble. According to a press release by Bandai Namco, the purpose of the new logo is to express “the fusion of Bandai and Namco that was created when the two companies integrated.” This new logo reflects the company’s new “purpose,” which is “fun for all into the future....

Nvidia GTX 970 and 980 graphics cards now include free copies of both The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Batman: Arkham Knight, Nvidia has announced. That’s two of the year’s biggest titles free to those who pick up a new GTX 970 or GTX 980. Both titles are enhanced on PC by Nvidia GameWorks, providing increased fidelity, realism, and immersion. The Battlefield 2042 teams have revealed their plans to improve the troubled shooter, including postponing Season One until the Summer. A joint statement from DICE, Criterion, Ripple Effect and EA Gothenburg addressed fans on Twitter. The tweet linked to a Battlefield Briefing, stating their commitment to improving the game following negative fan feedback. They’ll be taking action on multiple fronts, and as a result have moved the planned Season One of post-launch content to “early Summer....

Bayonetta voice actress Hellena Taylor has issued a further statement on Twitter addressing the pay dispute with PlatinumGames. In her initial statement, released a week ago, she claimed to have received an “insulting” offer to voice the character in the forthcoming Bayonetta 3. She asked fans to boycott the game in response. Xicat Interactive has announced that BlackStone: Magic and Steel, has shipped and is now on US shop shelves. BlackStone is Xicat’s second Japanese RPG release in three months for the Xbox. “BlackStone: Magic and Steel is a unique fusion of RPG elements and multiplayer hack & slash game play.
