A sequel to heavy metal action game Brutal Legend would become more possible if Psychonauts 2 is a success, developer Double Fine has said. Posting in a Q&A on the fig funding page for Psychonauts 2, the developer wrote: “We’ve always said that we wanted to make sequels to both Psychonauts and Brutal Legend. We can’t make any promises but if Psychonauts is a success for us, then perhaps Brutal Legend 2 will be more possible?...

Bugsnax released last November to a positive reception. It’s nearing its one-year anniversary, so the developer is celebrating with a free update that it promises is “substantial.” This update coming to Bugsnax is called The Isle of Bigsnax, and is set to show up on PC and consoles in early 2022. As the game is going to release on Steam at an undisclosed point next year, that means that new PC players won’t have long to wait at all to partake in this new update’s features and content....

Call of Duty: Advanced Wafare’s bonus Atlas Gorge multiplayer map is now available for free to all players. Ubisoft is working on implementing “innovative asynchronous gameplay” into the next major Assassin’s Creed title, Assassin’s Creed Victory, according to the LinkedIn profile of the game’s associate producer. Daniel Palix’s online CV states that he led development on a pair of new features in the upcoming game between November 2013 and August 2014, including “an innovative asynchronous gameplay” and “some innovative Player Space”. However, he warns that the asynchronous mode is “not confirmed”, suggesting it may or may not make it into the final game....

A host of classic D&D games are coming to consoles for the first time, publisher Skybound Games and developer Beamdog has announced today. As per the announcement, the titles will consist of the (previously released on PC) Enhanced Editions of all of the games, and, at retail, will be grouped into three collections. The first pack will bundle together Baldur’s Gate and its sequel Baldur’s Gate 2, the second will feature Planescape Torment and Icewind Dale and the final release will be Neverwinter Nights’ Enhanced Edition....

Batman: Arkham Knight and Mortal Kombat X have both sold over 5 million units each since going on sale earlier this summer, the Wall Street Journal has claimed. LEGO Jurassic World, meanwhile, has sold roughly 4 million. The figures were revealed in a report charting the recent success of Warner Bros.’ video games division, which a spokeswoman at the company described as being “off the charts”. The publisher has not officially revealed sales for any of the three titles....
