This Batwoman review contains spoilers. Batwoman Episode 2 Unlike most superhero shows, Batwoman did not slide into a villain-of-the-week format with its second episode. Instead this episode deepened into the central mythology of Kate’s origin story, Beth’s disappearance. I’m sure Batwoman will get to other villains eventually, but for now it feels like there’s plenty of material to unpack as it is, and a lower headcount of rogues helps make the show feel more grounded and less crowded....

Translated by ResetEra users Nightengale and Arthands, studio founder Feng Ji explained that the thirteen-minute demo was intended to attract possible new developers to the project. Internet sleuths have been pouring over the high-resolution Borderlands 3 boxart for nearly a week now. Why? Well, because it contains secrets. Apparently, Gearbox has been teasing its fans with hidden images and codes that are most assuredly hinting at plot points for its upcoming shooter-looter (shlooter?). Fans have already figured out some of its hidden messages, but Gearbox has revealed there’s even more to discover. The company also announced that it will make everything known during an upcoming gameplay reveal....

Australia contends with a wildfire season each year, but the 2019-2020 season has been exceptionally fierce. Approximately 10.7 million hectares of brush have burned away, leading to the emission of 250 million tonnes of carbon dioxide and the deaths of one billion animals. 27 people have lost their lives in the fires, and national and international aid efforts have attempted to contain its spread and alleviate the impacts....

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 for Xbox 360 makes use art work not screens on the back cover of the game’s box. Under images for Multplayer and Zombies modes, a disclaimer notes: “Not actual in-game images”. The PS4 game box uses actual in-game screens. Perhaps Activision decided using real in-game images from the Xbox 360 version of Black Ops 3 would put off potential buyers. This isn’t the first time actual screens haven’t been used on the back cover of a major FPS....

EA and Respawn Entertainment have taken the lid off the new content coming to battle royale shooter Apex Legends in the game’s seventh season when it drops in a couple of weeks’ time. Season Seven’s headline additions include a new Legend in the form of Scottish heroine Horizon, an astrophysist who’s said to escape black holes and has the “mastery of gravity” implying that’s where her powers may lie. On top of this, the season brings a brand new map in the form of Olympus which is set in a floating city high above the planet Psamathe....
