BioWare has been in need of a win for a long time, and the studio just might have it now thanks to its newest writer. The developer has hired the talented Mary DeMarle as its new senior narrative director. DeMarle is most well known for being a writer at Eidos-Montréal where she worked on the Deux Ex series and Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. The director of the next Mass Effect game, Michael Gamble, confirmed that DeMarle will be working on the sci-fi RPG series....

Bluehole’s MMO TERA is shutting down, after almost 10 years of service outside of South Korea. “After careful deliberations, the developers of TERA have unfortunately taken the difficult decision to end development of the game, as they feel that they are no longer able to provide the satisfying content that TERA players deserve. Instead, they would like to focus their internal development efforts on other projects,” publisher Gameforge wrote in a statement....

Blur’s beta has been out for a few weeks now, and a lot of us have been enjoying it. When it was released, players were allowed to work their way up to rank 10, unlocking cars and abilities while doing so. Bungie is currently working on a fix to address a “late-breaking technical issue” affecting the way Destiny launches. National Geographic is honoring the 50th anniversary of the moon landing with a new documentary, Apollo: Missions to the Moon. There is no narration. The entire documentary consists of archival footage. Those old enough to have watched the Apollo coverage as it happened may remember some of the footage. ARK: Survival Evolved on Xbox One has received a new update which promises to enable the prehistoric multiplayer game to run at a native 720p. Since launch the Xbox One version has been operating at around 1088×612, but the new update – Update v739 – will hopefully make things look a lot nicer. In addition, the UI can render at 1080p, meaning you should get a nice crisp interface. The update also introduces Primitive+....

Ubisoft has formally confirmed that the next Assassin’s Creed game will indeed be Assassin’s Creed Mirage, following the leak of official art earlier today.
