The California Department of Fair Employment and Housing filed a lawsuit against Activision Blizzard on Tuesday. In the suit, which is the result of a two-year investigation, the DFEH claims that the company has engaged in “frat boy” culture. The allegations include discrimination, sexual harassment, pay disparities, and more. As a warning, some of the claims in the suit are chilling, especially one such example that involves suicide. As reported by Bloomberg earlier today, the lawsuit filed against Activision Blizzard contains many glaring examples of “frat boy” behavior....

We’ve been expecting you…” I was very apprehensive about this episode of American Dad! when I initially heard that its storyline entails Stan getting trapped inside a world within his television. However, rather than a broad, channel-hopping story, “Rabbit Ears” tells a haunting mystery where the episode’s tone is the major selling point. More than anything else, this feels like the show doing an episode of the Twilight Zone, and in that respect, it’s actually a rather creative success, even if it does go to a place that’s unquestionably weird for American Dad!...

Kousuke Satake’s The Witch and the Beast manga has recently been given the green light for an anime adaptation. This news came from Hideki Shiraki, an editor from Kodansha’s Young Magazine, on his official Twitter, which you can see right below. The Witch and the Beast manga was first released in 2017 and quickly gained a fanbase because of its dark fantasy elements and haunting narrative. The story focuses on the characters Ashaf and Guideau, who must unite to stop a witch from taking control of a town....

Apex Legends is an online Battle-Royale game where players go up against one another in a bid to be named Apex Champions. Apex Legends features two members of the LGBTQ community as playable characters, Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment have revealed. The first is Makoa Gibraltar, who according to EA’s character profile page, pledged a life of helping others after ‘he and his boyfriend’ were rescued by his parents after a motorcycle joyride resulted in the pair trapped in a mudslide. In addition, Jay Frechette, Respawn’s community boss, told RPS that Bloodhound is ’non-binary, or at least non-specified, in terms of gender....

Battalion 1944 will enter early access on Steam from February 1, Bulkhead Interactive and Square Enix Collective have announced. In addition, the World War II-based shooter is receiving an exclusive beta later this month for those interested in seeing if the title manages to capture the old-school charm that its developer is banking on. The beta will kick off on January 19 and will run over the weekend, concluding on January 21....

EA has announced it’s to release a short film entitled ‘Exodus’ which will act as a prequel to upcoming shooter Battlefield 2042. While it’s keeping most of the details under wraps, a blurb for the movie teases: “Witness the events that will trigger an all-out war in this standalone short film set in the World of 2042.” That World of 2042, by the way, seems to be a series of videos, articles and more that will flesh out the near-future setting of Battlefield 2042....

Revita is a 2D roguelike shoot ‘em up that released into Steam Early Access at the beginning of March, but the developers are keeping the progress going. BenStar, the solo developer of Revita, and publisher Dear Villagers (the same publisher as ScourgeBringer) have just released the first major Early Access update titled Beasts and Bees.
