While it certainly wasn’t on the same level as the craze of the late-90s, the past decade had its fair share of interesting and enjoyable games within the dance/rhythm genre. As a last-minute addition to the genre, AVICII Invector closed out the twenty-teens as both an above-average interactive dance title and a well-executed tribute to one of the decade’s most iconic DJs. Square Enix and PlatinumGames have detailed the next beta test for their upcoming RPG Babylon’s Fall, and detailing their changes based on feedback so far. The latest Closed Beta Phase 2 report detailed how the second round of testing introduced PlayStation 4 players into the pool. The team prepared their servers for a capacity twice that of the first stage, but wound up with approximately three times as many users. However, no major issues arose and there was no effect on matchmaking....

Bandai Namco has set up a new, weird website featuring nothing but a graphic of an egg in a microwave, and the words ’10 Days left’. It seems to be teasing an announcement landing some time on December 4, but nobody is yet sure what for. It could be to do with the recent My Tamagotchi Forever announcement, because eggs do feature quite prominently in Tamagotchi, or potentially something to do with Projeckt #1514 (which everyone is now pretty sure is a new Sword Art Online game)....

European fans will be given their first opportunity to go hands-on with Gearbox’s upcoming multiplayer shooter Battleborn at next week’s Gamescom, 2K has confirmed. The game will be joined at the show by XCOM 2, NBA 2K16 and WWE 2K16, although the publisher simply says that attendees will be able to “find out more” about them, suggesting the three games may not actually be playable. Mafia 3, meanwhile, will be shown off behind-closed-doors....

The next Battlefield 1 update will roll out on January 30 alongside the remainder of the Turning Tides DLC, developer DICE has announced. The update is expected to be one of the most significant patches for the World War I-based shooter to date. DICE hasn’t yet confirmed the full list of patch notes, although you can expect a wealth of balance changes to be part of the package. Alongside this, the Swedish developer will also release Turning Tides’ second offering, North Sea, for Premium and Revolution Edition owners of Battlefield 1....

Blizzard has quietly revealed the release date of World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Classic, a recreation of the game’s celebrated second expansion. An image on the Blizzard site contained, which the studio has since removed, let slip the details. Apparently, the game will be out on September 26th, later this year. Borderlands 3 is the long-awaited successor to the Borderlands series made by Gearbox Software. Treyarch and Activision have pumped out an official Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 gameplay launch trailer, and it pretty much does what it says on the tin: lots of shouty men with big guns, blowing stuff up. The preload dates for both the early access launch and official release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 alongside PC requirements have been revealed, Activision announced. For players who preordered the digital version, the game’s campaign can be played a week early from the official launch of Oct. 28. “We’re lions,” says Wade Jennings (Danny Huston) to his friend Mike Banning (Gerard Butler) during the surprisingly reflective first act of Angel Has Fallen.
