The PS3 exclusive ModNation Racers is itself getting modded. Released in May, this kart racer was a frustrating experience for many. An otherwise solid game, it was plagued by a few simple but glaring issues. This is all due to change with the patch scheduled to be released tomorrow. The patch should fix the painfully long and numerous loading screens, which is by far the biggest complaint and burden gamers have with this title (See Ben Kendrick’s ModNation Racers review)....

Kickstarter-funded claret-spraying simulator Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is due this summer on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, creator Koji Igarashi has revealed. The spiritual successor to Igarashi-san’s Castlevania series has been a long time coming, having raised an impressive $5.5 million back in 2015 via crowdfunding. To give you an idea of how many delays it’s had, the game was originally going to come out for Wii U and PlayStation Vita, but those version have since been shelved....

Treyarch has rolled out Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 update 1.16, which means you’re now able to tuck into the next chapter in the Zombies’ campaign, Ancient Evil. It’s live now on PlayStation 4 alongside the new Zombshell perk. Meanwhile, the Barebones multiplayer experience is also available for the PS4 version of Black Ops 4, which offers 6×6 TDM and Domination minus specialist weapons, special issue equipment, gear, or operator mods....

BioWare’s Anthem is quite easily one of the biggest flops of the year. The game had a considerable amount of pre-release hype, but was met with widespread criticism at the time of its release, and its player count has continued to dwindle. Unsurprisingly, BioWare and EA seem to have largely moved on from Anthem, though support for the game is continuing with a new Halloween event. We reported earlier in the week that Nintendo was releasing a new fighter ‘before the end of the year’ to its brawler Arms. Today is that day, and the new fighter has formally been revealed as Doctor Coyle. Along with her, the new update adds three new Arms in the Lockjaw, Parabola and the Brrchuck, and a new stage called [NAME REDACTED] that’s not us censoring ourselves, that’s the actual name....
The latest news from the Artifact developers runs through changes to a bunch of the game’s mechanics and keywords. It also reveals that the game will gain a single-player campaign with its relaunch. The Artifact team has been doing what it can to simplify the gameplay and mechanics of the Dota 2-based card game. In the previous developer post, the team explained how deploying cards onto the board had changed. Essentially, you have more control over where your heroes go....
