I’ve said it before, but it’s really wonderful that Briarpatch creator and showrunner Andy Greenwald decided to gender-swap the lead from Ross Thomas’ novel. Not only did it give Rosario Dawson a chance to headline a series, but it provided her an opportunity to play a character-type that she’s so strongly suited for. I imagine when casting a noir, Dawson would strike some as being perfect for the femme fatale, but Briarpatch proves she makes a better Bogart than a Mary Astor....

No other information was offered at the trademark organization at which it was filed. However, we can speculate on just what might be next for the Destiny developer. Yesterday, Collider published photos taken by a reader from Staten Island in New York. The photos show the exterior set of a Super Duper Mart with some sleek, round-bodied cars ripped straight from the 1950s parked outside, rusted all over. The building itself isn’t doing much better, sporting the grime and abandoned wear you would expect to see roaming around Fallout 4’s post-apocalyptic Boston. A quick search on social media of ‘Fallout Staten Island’ reveals several other users who’ve snapped a shot of the set whilst going about their daily routine....
Chip companies like Intel, Nvidia, and AMD have all made statements about availability throughout this year. The takeaway is that availability for GPUs has not improved yet, and early projections about the supply shortage proved too optimistic. There are a lot of mixed signals going out at this point, but AMD CEO Lisa Su was willing to give her current take on the situation in a recent interview with Barron’s. According to her, GPU and CPU supply shortages will remain tight through the rest of 2021....
Bioware’s Jonathan Warner, former director of Anthem, has announced he’s leaving the company after almost ten years at the studio. Declaring his departure via his Twitter account (as spotted by our friends at Xbox Achievements), Warner said “I’m moving on to do new things. BioWare has been home to my grateful heart for nearly 10 years and I want to wish them all the best. DA, ME and SWTOR are in good hands and I can’t wait to play from this side of the screen....
Apex Legends’ limited-time Control mode is making a comeback. Spellbound - which is set to launch on 10th January and run until 24th - ushers in 9v9 battles which see you work with your fireteam to capture control points and thanks to infinite respawns, you can “keep the action going”.
