The developer behind the jaw-dropping Shadow of the Colossus remake on PS4 has confirmed that it is beavering away on yet another remake for its next project. Bluepoint Games confirmed the news during a chinwag with Digital Foundry, where the studio was asked if the art team used in Shadow of the Colossus would be put to work on an original title. In response, Marco Thrush, Bluepoint’s President and Co-owner, said ‘Well, we could but we’re doing another remake....

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will not be getting a New Game+ mode, even though it’s a “highly requested feature”. Whilst developer Ubisoft acknowledged that the “news will come as a disappointment” to some players, because of Valhalla’s “very different structure from its predecessors”, the open-world Viking game will be the first Assassin’s Creed game not to feature an option to boot up a New Game+ run. “Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has been built as a unique Assassin’s Creed experience, one that is very different from its predecessors in its structure, offering new ways of engaging with the world and its characters,” Ubisoft explained in a blog post....

Baldur’s Gate 3 has been in Early Access since October 2020. And in that time, Larian Studios was working through the game and addressing player feedback along the way. The interim patch for the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight has now entered a testing phase with the aim to launch in the next few weeks, Warner Bros. A brand new Battlefield user interface has now been implemented in Battlefield 4 on PS4 and Xbox One, with the aim to provide a “more intuitive and centralised experience for Battlefield games – starting with Battlefield 4 on consoles”. It seems that another one of Blizzard’s biggest games won’t be appearing on the Nintendo Switch. It has been revealed that Hearthstone won’t be coming to the Switch anytime soon. It’s rare for me to play a game that I desperately want to like but often can’t stand playing. Blue Fire is a lot like The Legend of Zelda crossed with a platformer and then mixed with tacked-on Souls-like elements. While the level design and movement controls are above average, the game has many nagging problems and design oversights that pile higher and higher as you play it.
