Walmart set tongues wagging yesterday by apparently leaking a number of video game sequels on its Canadian website, including Just Cause 4, Forza Horizons 5 (yes that’s plural, and no, 4 is nowhere to be seen), and, curiously, Rage 2. In case you need your memory jogging, Rage was released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 back in 2011, and failed to find much of an audience. Even id Software’s John Carmack publicly apologised for the game during a keynote at QuakeCon 2012....

Although the BioShock series may be known for innovative gameplay and incredible storytelling, its one of a kind settings are what truly help the games stand apart from other first person shooters. The models and assets used to make Warcraft III have been released for modders to make use of in the StarCraft II PTR, Blizzard has announced. “This brings over three thousand new materials for the amazing Arcade development community to work with, including new hero models for the 4 primary races, all of the original Warcraft III models including neutral creatures and their sounds as well as doodads, structures, spell effects, ambient sounds, music and custom user interfaces for each race,” writes Blizzard....

A couple of weeks ago, the first supposed screenshot of the unannounced Bully 2 leaked online. The screenshot was said to be of the in-game map, showing a location called the Wintersmith Mansion. Now a second photo of the Bully 2 map has supposedly leaked online, posted to Reddit by user zuke2000. This new Bully 2 leaked screenshot is very similar to the first one, showing the location Wintersmith Mansion. However, there are some significant differences between the two images....

These days, it’s fair to say that Marvel Studios films are a genre unto themselves. The rest of Hollywood may covet their Über-franchise powers – the logo alone can turn a title like Ant-Man and the Wasp into one of the summer’s must-sees – but it’s really the marked tonal and aesthetic consistency that keeps audiences coming back. Guardians Of The Galaxy movies are the funny ones, the Captain Americas are the slightly more sombre detours into globetrotting superheroics, and the Avengers are the star-studded epics in-between....

Respawn Entertainment has shown it is not afraid to experiment with the core gameplay of Apex Legends. It has done an excellent job with events and limited-time modes that don’t impact the main game modes of casual and ranked. In a recent post on the Apex Legends website, Design Director Jason McCord revealed a new experiment coming in an event called Battle Armor. The event will start on April 28 and run until the Season 5 start date of May 12....

EA and Respawn have unveiled the first details of the next Apex Legends season, entitled Saviors. The companies dropped a launch trailer for the new season, which should be arriving on May 10. Joining the ever-growing roster this time around is new hero Newcastle. The new Legend appears to be Bangalore’s brother, presumed dead during her search for him last Season. Arcade1Up is again making waves with the release of even more classic-inspired arcade cabinets, this time with NBA Jam, a special-edition Burger Time, a SEGA cabinet, and for the first time ever in a partnership with Zen Studios, a 3/4 scale digital pinball machine that appears to have Star Wars Pinball. NBA Jam appears to feature online functionality, which would essentially allow users to play against other Arcade1Up cabinets. The included games would be NBA Jam, NBA Jam Tournament Edition, and NBA Hang Time....

Dino-hunting survival game ARK: Survival Evolved will release on Xbox One next Wednesday, December 16 via the Xbox Game Preview program, Studio Wildcard has confirmed. The game will cost $34.99 in the US, although a UK price has yet to be announced. “Our goal is to bring all this chaotic and creative spontaneous fun – the tribe building, dino-breeding, dino-combat, the weapons-, armor-, food-, and recipe-crafting, and more – to Xbox One fans with no compromises,” co-creative director Jess Rapczak told IGN, before confirming that the Xbox One version will contain “everything that’s in the PC version right now”....

While the Assassin’s Creed franchise has depicted various weapons over the years, from guns to powerful Swords of Eden, the most iconic weapon is the Hidden Blade. It is the defining attribute of an Assassin, with the formula only being slightly meddled with over the years. Despite this, and perhaps because of this, the Hidden Blade has a longer and more vibrant history in Assassin’s Creed than one might imagine....

The long-rumored and leaked Assassin’s Creed Ragnarok has not yet been confirmed as a 2020 release by Ubisoft but the many leaks have pointed to a 2020 release. The last time the series took a year off the next game in series was not only the most different, but it was also one of the best. Ragnarok probably won’t have as drastic as changes since the last game, Assassin’s Creed Odyessy, was very well received but there could still be some change in store....

Ubisoft has released a nine minute video showcasing Assassin’s Creed Valhalla gameplay running on the Xbox Series X. The video, which you can see below, takes a deep dive into the Viking epic, including showcasing your settlement and a brief foray into one of the game’s raid battles. Of course, the whole thing also acts as a lovely showcase for the improved visual fidelity you’ll be able to enjoy on the next generation consoles, with some gorgeous English scenery to enjoy in full 4K resolution....

The last holdout from the first Nintendo Switch event is still being worked on, even after almost three years of silence, as Atlus has confirmed that Shin Megami Tensei V is still in development. Nintendo announced the Switch at the end of 2016, which was followed by a presentation in January 2017 that revealed details regarding the hardware. The first Nintendo Switch event included announcements for several games, including 1-2 Switch, Arms, and Super Mario Odyssey, but only one of the games revealed during that event has yet to be released - Shin Megami Tensei V....

Back 4 Blood is an amazing game when it comes to slicing down hordes of Riddens. You can easily just turn your mind off and let the thrill of killing Zombies engulf you. But the game isn’t as mindless as it seems. There is a story-mode campaign where the players can find out how everything came to be in this world. The Lore itself isn’t given but if you hear the conversations between the characters you will get to hear a lot of the Lore and their Backstories....
