Suicide Squad was a cinematic car crash, so there’s something so satisfying about the fact that four years later, released over a weekend where a movie about the Joker is nominated for 11 Oscars, Harley has also completely reinvented herself as a flawed, powerful and empowering leader in a film that reverses her character’s former betrayal....

With it being confirmed that only GAME will include Nuk3town 2065 DLC codes with its Black Ops 3 orders, gamers appear to be turning to eBay to secure a code for the much-loved map. A quick look on the auction site this morning revealed listings having sold today for over £19 on Xbox One and PS4. Other listings remain active if you’re in need of a code yourself. After what feels like an eternity of leaks, Konami has officially revived its long-dormant Silent Hill series with a flurry of activity, starting with remake of horror masterpiece Silent Hill 2, which is being developed by Bloober Team for PC and PS5 as a timed console exclusive. Bloober Team - the studio behind the likes of The Medium, Layers of Fear, and Observer - has been rumoured to be involved in a Silent Hill revival as far back as June last year, when it announced a partnership with Konami to create a new game....

Around a week ago, Konami confirmed that the company and Bloober Team would start working together to create select games going forward. Given Bloober Team’s history with developing psychological horror games, fans of Konami’s Silent Hill series soon began speculating that the two companies planned to work on a new entry in the acclaimed franchise. Bloober Team soon dashed those hopes, however, as studio CMO Tomasz Gawlikowski denied that their currently planned projects had anything to do with a new Silent Hill game....

Anyone who remembers the original Nidhogg will recall its minimalist artstyle and exhilarating multiplayer gameplay. While Nidhogg 2 looks to have the latter, it definitely has a more detailed aesthetic to the original. During E3, developer Messhof sat down with PlayStation to show off Nidhogg 2 and, as you’ll see from the near 20 minute demo, the artstyle is drastically different from the first game. Nintendo has detailed the contents of the next update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons which will mark the first anniversary of the game’s release, including improvements to custom designs and a new Island Tour Creator to show off your island. As detailed on Nintendo’s website, the update lands tomorrow and right off the bat will give players a free anniversary cake as a thank you gift, and new seasonally appropriate items such as a Whoopie Cushion (for April Fool’s Day), prom themed items for April, a Forsythia tree for Tree Planting Day (April 1- April 10) and a Cool Globe for Nature Day....

Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection’s day one patch will introduce support for 4K dynamic rendering on PS4 Pro, Ubisoft has confirmed. That means 4K TV owners will be able to take advantage of a higher resolution, while 1080p owners will benefit from an improved image quality. The Ezio Collection includes three last-gen Assassin’s Creed titles – Assassin’s Creed 2, Brotherhood and Revelations – each remastered for current-gen consoles, and is due to go on sale this Friday, November 18....

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s game director has admitted he’s ‘surprised’ at the character usage split between Alexios and Kassandra. Speaking with Game Informer (via PST), Scott Phillips confirmed that the split between the two protagonists is ’two thirds Alexios’ to ‘one third Kassandra.’ To be fair, we’re a bit surprised too; Kassandra has been heavily marketed by Ubisoft, and she’s been confirmed as the canon character. Interestingly, playtests had seen the split at around the 50/50 mark, with Philips admitting he thought the final version would have nudged things towards ‘a little bit more Kassandra....

Ubisoft has dropped a roadmap for additional content coming to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, with a couple of new things set for this week. Chief among these is the official announcement of the Tombs of the Fallen activity. While we still don’t know specifically what it will entail, we do know it’ll arrive tomorrow. The content was previously uncovered by fans thanks to a set of trophies spotted last week. From the game’s official Twitter account, it seems runes will be involved somehow....

Last month, we learned that Banjo-Kazooie would be the next game to arrive on the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack library of games, and today, it was announced that the N64 game will release on the service later this week on Jan. 20.
