Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is the No.1 console video game in the US, based on year-to-date revenues from physical unit sales, Activision has announced. Infinite Warfare is also the top selling console title for the month of November, based on revenue from physical unit sales, and Call of Duty is the No.1 console video game franchise in North America for the eighth consecutive year, based on year-to-date revenue from physical unit sales....

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is on its way later this year, and gameplay videos have leaked their way online. There is, apparently a new mode, called DMZ, which is similar to Escape from Tarkov. Activision is clamping down on these leaks, and have had clips taken down already. Tom Henderson, who has a history with leaking information, has revealed information on the game’s available maps. Highrise, Quarry, Terminal, and Afghan—all from the original Modern Warfare 2—are, apparently, making a return....

Nintendo has added five more Mega Drive games to the collection available on Nintendo Switch Online. Subscribers to the Expansion Pack tier of the service can now get their hands on even more retro goodness when they next login. The first of these games is classic side-scrolling arcade title Altered Beast. That’s joined by madcap alien adventure Toejam & Earl and shoot-em-up Thunder Force II. Meanwhile, Dynamite Headdy offers classic platforming action and the pack is rounded off by 1989 action RPG Sword of Vermillion....

Riot Games’ Valorant weapon skin bundle sequels have been off-the-scale popular in recent times. Players went wild for the RGX 2.0 bundle, then, more recently, hype for the Reaver 2.0 saw fever-pitch levels of excitement. The change was spotted by customers this morning, with the PS4 versions of GTA 5, Rainbow Six Siege and Assassin’s Creed Syndicate now only available to Prime members, along with the PS4 and Xbox One versions of FIFA 16, Far Cry Primal, Battlefield Hardline and more. We’ve known for awhile now that Apex Legends was going to make the jump to mobile devices, we just didn’t know when it would happen. Now, a statement from EA Games confirms that the mobile port will land on phones sometime during the fiscal year of 2021. When it first launched back in February, Apex Legends hooked millions of gamers. Competing with heavy hitters such as PUBG and Fortnite, Apex Legends was still able to garner over 70 million players thanks to it’s fluid gunplay....

Viking warriors can expect a new patch when launching Assassin’s Creed Valhalla today that adds, among other things, the long awaited Transmog feature as well as support for the game’s next seasonal event. The patch—Title Update 1.2.0—will now let Eivor change the appearance of weapons and armour in game within the same category at Gunnar’s blacksmith at Ravensthorpe for the cost of 50 silver.
