Activision doesn’t want Wii owners to miss out on the “excitement” of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, so the publisher will be releasing the game for Nintendo’s platform alongside the 360, PS3, and PC versions on November 8. Activision executive Eric Hirshberg announced the port yesterday during the company’s Q2 financials, declaring that the publisher was putting the game out on the Wii “so as not to leave any of the community out of the excitement....

As 2019 has swooped in, Playground Games has formally closed the curtains on 2016’s Forza Horizon 3 with the technically final Forzathon community event, which took place in early February. I say “technically” as the game now has a semi-indefinite Forzathon that will last nearly 30,000 days (around 80 years). A second Angry Birds movie is now being planned, Finnish firm Rovio has announced whilst releasing its first half financial figures. The Angry Birds Movie made $347 million worldwide on a reported production budget of $73 million. The home video editions released in the US just this month, with the UK set to follow this October. “We currently have several exciting new games and other projects in development, including new IP, and we have started planning the sequel to The Angry Birds Movie,” Rovio CEO Kati Levoranta said in a statement....

The character will make his solo movie debut in December, Dan Abnett’s recent tenure as writer has been politically prescient, and interest in the character is at an all-time high. This makes the arrival of writer Kelly Sue DeConnick (Captain Marvel, Bitch Planet) and artist Robson Rocha (Green Lanterns) all the more exciting. Following the official announcement of Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon at The Game Awards last week, directors Hidetaka Miyazaki and Masaru Yamamura have spoken about what players can expect from the game. A French retailer has seemingly listed Rocksteady’s Batman Arkham Collection for the Nintendo Switch later this year.
