Ubisoft’s two holiday 2014 Assassin’s Creed games, Unity and Rogue, shipped a combined 10 million units as of December 31, 2014. The publisher hasn’t broken down sales for each of the two games. In addition Ubisoft revealed that Far Cry 4 has shipped seven million units and The Crew two million units, which the publisher says makes it the best-selling racing game released in late 2014. Just Dance 2015 also shipped four million units....

Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Rogue is now playable on Xbox One via backwards compatibility, Microsoft has confirmed. Rogue was the last Assassin’s Creed game to launch on previous-gen systems Xbox 360 and PS3, and many held it in higher regard than the next-gen Unity. The inclusion of naval combat was welcomed, especially given its absence from both Unity and the more recent Syndicate. AC Rogue is available from the Xbox Store priced £14....

Look, we know that in the Viking age, Reebok was absolutely not a thing. The sportswear manufacturer has been around for a while, since 1895 in fact, but not that long. Even so, Ubisoft has collaborated with Reebok to create a clothing and sneaker line based on Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Atari has today announced plans to release Asterix at the Olympic Games for Xbox 360 this summer. The game is based on the feature film of the same name and will blend live action elements from the film with high quality animation to deliver a unique Asterix experience. Like the PS2, Wii, PC and DS versions that are already available, Asterix at the Olympic Games will see players competing as Asterix or Obelix in a series of physical challenges and puzzles....

Thanks to some quick alterations on the part of developer Bohemia Interactive, Australia’s Classification Board is changing its collective mind about survival sandbox game DayZ. The funny thing is, DayZ was nearly banned from the country over something that isn’t yet present in its gameplay at all. Earlier this August, the Classification Board decided to entirely block the physical sale of DayZ and later removed it from all online stores as well....

Bandai Namco (or Bamco) announced the next in its long line of Dragon Ball games today. Dragon Ball FighterZ will be coming to Xbox One, PC and PS4 in early 2018. A 2.5D, three versus three fighting game from Ark System Works, Dragon Ball FighterZ is sure to tickle the fancy of some of you when it comes out early next year.

Battleborn – remember that? – will receive its first DLC Story Operation on October 13, Gearbox has announced. The DLC – called ‘Attikus and the Thrall Rebellion’ – will see players “relive the days of Attikus leading the Thrall rebellion in the Jennerit slums”. The pack is expected to cost £3.99 and is included as part of the game’s £15.99 Season Pass. Following that, a second Story Operation – ‘Toby’s Friendship Raid’ – will release later in the autumn, with three further packs to launch later this winter....

Platinum Games has dropped a new 1.2.0 update for the Nintendo Switch exclusive action adventure Bayonetta 3. It’s a big update, featuring a bunch of tweaks to make players’ experience with the bullet-dancing witch even better – and comes just a few weeks following the announcement of spin-off Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon. You can get the update by ensuring your Nintendo Switch is connected to the Internet, then press the + button on the Bayonetta 3 tile, followed by selecting “Software Update” and “via the Internet”....

Bella Ramsey, aka Game of Thrones’ Lyanna Mormont, plays Ellie in the soon-to-be released The Last of Us TV adaptation from HBO.
