AMD is not known to be overly flashy or obsessed with leather jackets, but it does know how to deliver on promises. At least, that has generally been the case in more recent years under the leadership of Lisa Su. Therefore it’s certainly worth getting excited about to learn she will once again take to the stage at CES 2021 to talk about future AMD innovations....

AMD may unveil its Ryzen 7000 Series lineup on or before August 4. This report comes via Tech Power Up, which spotted something pointing to an imminent launch. It looks like AMD, along with a few partners, plans to showcase the new AM5 X670E motherboards on August 5. This showcase is a part of AMD’s “Meet the Experts” event, which is aimed at the company’s business partners. There’ll likely be plenty of information for consumers as well....

In the first developer interview from Amplitude Studios, creative director Romain de Waubert and narrative director Jeff Spock explained how their new civilisation sim Humankind came to be. Humankind is Sega’s surprise AAA announcement, and is a 4X civilisation game with a twist. Beginning in the Neolithic era and progressing to present day, the player’s civilisation will pick and choose from over 60 different cultures as each time period passes. The game’s central mechanic is about ‘rebuilding the history of humankind’, and with almost a million possible cultural combinations, this is certainly an impressive feat....

To say that Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is a very difficult game would be an incredible understatement. Heck, one of the very first things you see when you boot the game up is this message: Not the warmest welcome. Anthem is forecast to sell between five and six million copies by the end of March, publisher Electronic Arts said during a call with investors.
