The animated film Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge will enter the ring once again this summer with a sequel. Titled Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms, it will feature the return of voice actors Joel McHale and Jennifer Carpenter voicing Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade, respectively. The new film will reportedly feature the return of characters like Liu Kang, Scorpion, Shang Tsung, and Raiden. We know some of the new players in the next animated tournament as well....

Today Bandai Namco announced its financial results for the first nine months of the fiscal year, which ended on December 31, 2021. The company reported results well ahead of the previous fiscal year, with net sales growing by 15.6% and operating profit growing by 26.4% This also caused Bandai Namco to increase its full-year forecast for both parameters to 810 billion yen and 96 billion yen respectively. In the digital content business, sales of Tales of Arise were “strong” and repeat sales of existing games were also solid....

Details of a new Batman collection - called Batman Arkham Collection, predictably enough - has popped up online. Today’s Borderlands 3 patch nerfed some of the most powerful legendary weapons in the game, leaving many fans upset with the current loot situation in-game. However, Gearbox combat designer Grant Kao was on this week’s episode of Couch Co-op to give fans some good news after such a devastating patch. In a future update, with no set release date at the time of writing, Gearbox will be introducing dedicated drops to the game, meaning that players will be able to start farming for specific weapons and gear instead of relying solely on world drops - so Graveward may finally get some rest....

Things look much different from the launch of Borderlands 3 to the way things are now. For starters, there was a flurry of controversy surrounding voice actors and content when the third installment in the Borderlands franchise was poised and primed for launch. But, the story looks much different now, even with new content continuing to pour out from the game’s developer, Gearbox Software. The team took to the stage at PAX East to talk about future DLC plans for the game, as well as its move to Steam next month — along with the return of Gaige....

The Borderlands 3 January 16, 2020 hotfix is set to go live before 3pm PST today, and it will bring a number of changes to Gearbox Software’s highly-popular looter shooter. These changes include buffs to a number of Anointment bonuses as well as some general bug fixes, but it is a significant nerf to one of Borderlands 3’s best weapons that will stand out to some fans most immediately. Specifically, the ION CANNON, which was added to the game in the recently-released Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot DLC, is set to be nerfed in the BL3 January 16 update....

In our review of Anthem, I went into detail about the many facets of the game that I felt were disconnected from what it hoped to achieve. Split into individual parts, Anthem’s mechanics might seem like an improvement over what many other games offer. But combined together, the features become one big, convoluted mess.
