Late yesterday, developer Nerial and publisher Devolver Digital announced that their posh adventure experience, Card Shark, will be making its way to Nintendo Switch and PC on June 2 and will retail for $19.99. With Awesome Games Done Quick’s next charity speedrun event rapidly gaining on us, organisers have revealed timings for all 140+ speedruns scheduled for the January 2023 show. Next year’s Awesome Games Done Quick runs from 8th-15th January, and will once again be an online-only event as organisers look to move its in-person component away from its usual haunt of Florida. Earlier this year, organisers said the state’s “continued disregard for COVID-19’s dangers… and an increased aggression towards LGBTQ+ individuals” made it impossible to provide a “safe and welcoming” event for all....

PAX East 2020 will take place in Boston next week, from February 27 through March 1. It’ll be home to lots of indie game reveals and AAA title showcases. And, as teased last month, it will also host a glimpse of Baldur’s Gate 3 gameplay for the first time. Larian Studios confirmed the reveal this morning with a YouTube video, posted below. According to the details, the event will take place on the first day of PAX East....

Kevin Conroy, perhaps best known for his much-loved portrayal of Batman in TV’s Animated Series and the Arkham series of games, has died aged 66 following a short battle with cancer. Conroy, whose acting career began in the late 70s, first voiced Batman in Fox Kids’ Batman: The Animated series, which would go on to run for 85 episodes between 1992 and 1995. His portrayal has remained a fan favourite ever since, with Conroy later voicing the role across a multitude of mediums, including 15 films....

Specifically, we get to see more character design work by acclaimed artist Mari Shimazaki on four characters, Jeanne, Luka, Rodin, & Enzo. Guilty Gear and BlazBlue developer Arc System Works has acquired the rights to all brands formerly owned by Technos Japan corp., including the Double Dragon franchise. Blizzard has confirmed Overwatch 2 will replace the original Overwatch on release in October. In a statement to Axios’ Stephen Totilo, Blizzard explained that Overwatch 2 “will replace the current Overwatch build,” with all player-unlocked content automatically transferring across games. This is the clearest statement we have received that Blizzard plans to stop supporting Overwatch, after statements from a Reddit AMA last week left room for interpretation on whether the original game will still function, albeit without future content updates....
