Yesterday evening, Nintendo revealed that an Animal Crossing: New Horizons themed Switch console would be releasing alongside the game. Coming a week early, it didn’t include a copy of the latest Animal Crossing, but it did have an absolutely gorgeous looking dock and pair of Joy-Con. Fans were foaming at the mouth since they already own a Switch, but are dying to get this variation. Thankfully, a solution exists. While you won’t get the neato pattern on the back of your console, Nintendo will be selling standalone versions of both the dock and the Joy-Con....
It appears as if another piece of casting related material is pointing to the existence of Grand Theft Auto V. According to the casting call there are several characters for which voice actors are needed, some that sound like they are ripped straight from the GTA lore and one that actually has some ties to the series. Battle royale shooter Apex Legends is holding its annual winter-themed Holo-Day Bash Event next week, bringing back a limited time mode and some brand new seasonal cosmetics. As per the post on the game’s official site, this year the Winter Express mode sees squads battle it out on World’s Edge to take control of the train as it hurtles around the map carrying gifts like a super-powered sleigh. However, this year a new twist comes in the form of supply ships from King’s Canyon, where each squad will start from when a round begins and pick their moment to strike as it pulls into the station....
Season 3 of Apex Legends has brought some much-needed freshness to the game. The biggest change being the introduction of a new map: World’s Edge. This arena has a very primal feel to it, as if the elements have raged over it and what’s left behind is both beautiful and lethal. A new map means there’s a ton of new places to explore and secrets to discover. It also means Wattson will finally stop going on about how she helped her father build the arena – we can only hope....

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is next up for the storied franchise, and it finally got a gameplay trailer today — sort of. During the Inside Xbox 2020 event, Ubisoft showed off some primo Viking shenanigans. Naturally, as this is the “next gen” event for Xbox, Valhalla came dressed to impress. And I have to say, it’s looking damn fine. However, much of the gameplay here is awfully scripted — typical Ubisoft!
