EA announced its decision to bring its popular battle royale game Apex Legends to mobile devices last year, but fell more or less silent on the subject until its recent third-quarter earnings call. During the call, EA finally confirmed that the release of Apex Legends for mobile is moving forward as planned, as EA spent those months of radio silence locking in a publishing partner in China. A mobile version of Apex Legends first come onto the radar during the game’s season 2 content, but both EA and Respawn had little else to say at the time, and definitely no release date....

Successfully pulling off a noir story is hard. Doing so requires nailing the tone and dialogue to a degree that many people aren’t quite up to. Backbone easily does this well. The game’s pixel artwork is gorgeous, bristling with colorful, moody explorations of decadent urban sprawl preyed upon by the haves. Late last week, Black Isle Studios staggered aging ARPG fans by announcing a surprise re-release of Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance for modern platforms. Not only was it on its way, it was practically already available for most devices. The game found its way on most consoles already, with the promise of a PC port in the works.
