Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s online multiplayer component is known for having quite a few bugs, with new reasons seemingly being discovered every day. One bug that players have noticed happens when they touch a Care Package in Modern Warfare, causing them to die instantly. The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Care Package bug can be seen in a new video uploaded by Reddit user MineRaid. In the video, MineRaid is playing on the Piccadilly map, and they call in a Care Package....

Well, it looks like Blizzard was expecting negative reactions due to their Diablo: Immortal announcement. Unfortunately, they certainly did not expect it’d be to the same degree as we’ve seen so far on the internet. Gamers have taken to lambast the developers for their decision to release a mobile-only Diablo game made in partnership with NetEase. Angry and vocal players said it was disrespectful to their fanbase and akin to “killing the franchise” completely....
In a new Overwatch blog post, Blizzard has teased the community further about the character Doomfist. In a ‘Times of Numbani’ news posting, it’s confirmed that Doomfist had indeed escaped from the Helix Security International’s maximum security installation with the help of Reaper, one of Overwatch’s playable heroes. Reaper you terrible bastard, you. After defeating over a dozen guards, Reaper freed Akande Ogundimu, also known as Doomfist. For those of you up to date on your Overwatch lore, Ogundimu was a part of the Attack on Numbani incident that led to the destruction of the newly introduced OR15 robots and the theft of the Doomfist gauntlet....
Even if you aren’t a fan of Warcraft or Activision Blizzard, it’s likely been impossible to ignore last week’s launch of Warcraft 3: Reforged. A hotly anticipated update of one of gaming’s best RTS titles, Activision Blizzard flubbed the launch so hard that the re-release has become the lowest user rated game on Metacritic. That response may be hyperbolic, but the game is not in a good state. Wishing to stop that backlash from growing out of control, Blizzard has hastily made an update on its official website....
At Hearthstone Grandmasters, Hearthstone winner Ng ‘blitzchung’ Wai Chung voiced his support for Hong Kong protestors in an interview, and in response, Blizzard Taiwan deleted the video of his interview from the official Twitch channel (via Inven Global). Under a ‘one country, two systems’ arrangement, Hong Kong possesses a degree of autonomy as a former British colony that was only returned to China in 1997. The catalyst for the protests is the extradition bill, which if passed, would send criminal suspects to China under certain circumstances....

Borderlands 3 players should know the drill by now. Every weekend, Gearbox Software CEO Randy Pitchford releases new shift codes on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and it’s been this way since the game’s launch this past September. As expected, Pitchford has released yet another Borderlands 3 shift code today, with this one available until Saturday, November 16 at 10am CST. This gives players a little less than 24 hours to redeem this latest code....

Destiny developer Bungie has spoken out in response to the Republican-backed US Supreme Court’s plans to overthrow Roe v Wade, a key judgement which legalised abortion rights across the country. “Standing up for reproductive choice and liberty is not a difficult decision to make, and Bungie remains dedicated to upholding these values,” the developer tweeted earlier today. Today Treyarch and Activision announced the long anticipated Hardened and Prestige Editions of Call of Duty: Black Ops, and all of the internet Call of Duty communities made the collected sigh of “awesome”. We noted back in July that online retailers had listed these editions on their stores, but at that time Activision refused to comment. I wonder if we would have believed them if they told us we were getting a remote-control vehicle modeled after the in-game RC-XD killstreak included in the bundle?...
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare’s bonus multiplayer map ‘Terminal’ is now available for free to all players, Infinity Ward has announced. The map had previously only been available to those who pre-ordered the game. Terminal is a remake of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s classic airport-themed map reimagined in a lunar space port. Activision has yet to announce details on Infinite Warfare’s four planned DLC packs, although you should probably expect the first to arrive early next year....
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 had its official worldwide reveal in June. We welcomed back the familiar faces of Task Force 141 with plenty of gunfights and explosions. Warning: contains spoilers for the Alex Rider TV show That’d be because the team behind the Alex Rider TV show have remixed the books a fair bit, as well as adding in all-new elements in a bid to make the concept work better as a TV show. While the Stormbreaker movie was mostly quite faithful to the books, the Alex Rider TV show makes some bigger changes. It’s a similar adaptation process to comic books becoming movies: some of the sillier elements have been trimmed out, while a gritty sheen has been put over everything in a bid to add some realism....
AMD has revealed its patent for an alternative to DLSS. The patent also provided more insight into how the technology will upscale images without deep learning. The technology was previously known as FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) but has since received a new name according to the patent. AMD is now calling it “Gaming Super Resolution”. AMD has lagged behind Nvidia in terms of upscaling technology for quite some time now. But this may finally be a great opportunity to close the gap....
