Avengers: Infinity War was definitely the most highly anticipated superhero film this year, if not the most anticipated film in general. Unsurprisingly, it was a box office smash hit and several Marvel fans were flocking to theaters to see it multiple times. The well-known Japanese figure exhibition Wonder Festival is back with its summer edition in presence at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, near Tokyo. Things certainly are looking up, with the number of figures of show increasing since the slightly more tentative Winter edition. As usual, many of the figures exhibited portray characters from video games. Some are painted prototypes, some are unpainted “grey” prototypes, and some are announcements limited to an illustration....

Battalion 1944 was first announced back in 2016, and it launched in Early Access in early 2018. It officially released in May to a rather underwhelming and mixed reception on Steam, but it did sell over 250,000 copies by June. Still, as an exclusively online multiplayer game, it has a lot to improve, though recent reviews are much more positive. Bulkhead Interactive continues to work hard on the game to support it post-launch, and now they have revealed a roadmap for Year One of Battalion 1944, which will include a lot of free content in major updates for players....

The Battlefield 1 Open Beta will begin August 31 on PS4, Xbox One and PC, EA has announced. Early access will be granted to fans who have signed up as a Battlefield Insider and chosen their platform before August 21. In the beta players will be able to access Conquest and Rush modes on the new Sinai Desert map. The map offers support for up to 64 players and includes a new controllable Armoured Train, ridable horses and three new Elite Classes: Sentry, Flame Trooper and Tank Hunter....

Battlefield studio DICE has teased that a reveal of the next entry in the long-running series is coming soon, and will have the “biggest Battlefield development team ever” working on the title set for release this Holiday season. In an open letter to fans, Oksar Gabrielson, general manager of DICE said “2021 is an exciting time for us here at DICE. Working with more world-class development studios within Electronic Arts, we have our biggest team ever on a Battlefield game for console and PC....

The release date for Borderlands 3 has been officially confirmed as September 13, and the latest installment in the popular shooter-looter franchise is bringing with it some big changes. One of these is a new optional personal loot system. In a blog on the PlayStation website, Gearbox Software Art Director, Scott Kester, revealed a new trailer and discussed some details about the upcoming title, including a new loot system. The new loot system appears to be part of some wider changes to how co-op works in the game....

The first round of Vault Hunter balance changes in Borderlands 3 nerfed FL4K, buffed Zane, and tweaked some things about Amara the Siren.
