The next Assassin’s Creed game, set in Baghdad, will feature crowds of people on its streets for the first time since the widely-panned Paris-set Unity. That’s according to a fresh round of leaked information on the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Mirage from well-established Ubisoft leaker j0hnathan, who has now had his Twitter account suspended. Among those details includes the fact that Baghdad will be divided into four separate zones, each with a boss to defeat, but also be surrounded by a desert area, oases and rivers....

Bandai Namco has submitted trademarks for a collection of new titles with the word ‘Encore’ in them, suggesting that there could be remasters of classic games on the horizon (via Gematsu). ‘Encore’ is the descriptor given to the remasters of Bandai Namco’s Katamari Damacy and Kotoba no Puzzle: Moji Pittan. Katamari Damacy Reroll is called Katamari Damacy Encore in Japan, and Kotoba no Puzzle: Moji Pittan Encore is releasing for Switch next spring....

There’s usually something compelling about games that take influence from Hotline Miami‘s frantic neon-tinged, room-clearing violence. In my experience, the style doesn’t fit well with first-person games for various reasons, although Animalistic does a few things to iron out some concerns.
