Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, a new asymmetrical multiplayer game based on the popular multimedia franchise, just recently came out on PC via the Epic Games Store. This game pits four players, who each control a Ghostbuster, against a single player controlling a ghost character. Bandai Namco has acquired a majority stake in Limbic Entertainment, the developer behind its forthcoming sim game Park Beyond. The deal marks an increased investment in the German developer, representing the publisher’s move to create a significant proportion of its business outside of Japan. Park Beyond will be Limbic’s highest profile release so far: a theme park game where players can create bizarre attractions using the “impossification” gimmick. Bandai Namco has today announced Code Vein, a new game for release on ‘major home consoles’ in 2018. After teasing the announcement with a #PrepareToDine tag, it turns out that Bandai Namco’s game is indeed a vampire themed action-RPG, but seems unrelated to Dark Souls in any way. It does share some common themes of darkness and despair, however. From the screenshots sent out the game looks bleak, if stylish. Xenoblade Chronicles X’s Japanese Wii U release features a bikini-clad 13 year-old girl named Lin, which seems pretty inappropriate. Thankfully someone at Nintendo agrees with this. Dragon Age Inquisition fans can look forward to additional story DLC, BioWare has confirmed. “We’re not quite done with story content for DAI just yet,” Tweeted creative director Mike Laidlaw. He also confirmed that Origins’ Hero of Ferelden “would not be reappearing”. “I do not feel the HOF would work well as an NPC,” Laidlaw later clarified.
