Now Beyond Good and Evil 2 is finally a thing, information about the project has remained somewhat sparse (though with the game so early in development that’s kind of expected). However, that looks set to change, as we’re going to get some updates on the progress of the title later today. Developer Ubisoft has announced via the game’s official Twitter account that a livestream is due to take place at 6pm CET (which should be around 5pm UK time) this evening giving an update on the progress so far....

The VOD dominoes continue to fall during the coronavirus pandemic. With the world dealing with the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, large public gatherings are being officially discouraged by organizations like the Centers for Disease Control and the World Health Organization, and sitting in a movie theater with dozens of people certainly qualifies as a discouraged activity. The previous weekend’s box office hit a historic low, and movie theaters in both the US and UK have begun closing, whether voluntarily or as a result of official directives from local governments....

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 has become the biggest entertainment launch of the year, Activision has announced, generating a worldwide revenue of $550m within its first three days on sale. While sales figures have not been announced, Activision says that retail sales are “up significantly” over both 2013’s Call of Duty: Ghosts and 2014’s Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, with digital sales said to be “nearly double” those of last year....

When developer Ninja Theory first revealed that it would be taking a brief step away from single-player narrative-driven games to develop multiplayer brawler Bleeding Edge, it’s safe to say that the industry was taken by surprise. From Heavenly Sword to DmC and Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, Ninja Theory has proven it’s more than capable of trying new things, enough to get picked up by Xbox Games Studios. First revealed during Microsoft’s E3 2019 Press Conference, Bleeding Edge is a third-person 4v4 multiplayer team fighter coming to Xbox and PC in the first quarter of 2020....

Two new fighters have been added to the character roster of Tekken 7: Bob and Master Raven. The pair were revealed alongside new trailers at EVO 2016 in Las Vegas over the weekend. Bob Introduced in Tekken 6, Bob (full name: Robert Richards) is an American fighter that practices Freestyle Karate as his chosen fighting style. Possessing great strength, uncanny speed, and a wide range of attacks, Bob is one of the most well rounded fighters in the Tekken series....

Nearly seven years after Borderlands 2 launched, Gearbox Software has finally returned to its popular looter shooter franchise. Borderlands 3 may not reinvent the wheel, but it manages to retain a lot of what fans want in the shooter from its iconic art style, massive piles of loot, and humorous writing. The game also retains multiple currencies from past games in the series from normal cash to the more rare resource known as Eridium....

Gearbox is ready to unveil the next major DLC pack for Borderlands 3. Borderlands 3’s Season Pass features four different expansions, each with a ton of story-based content. The first, Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot, was released mid-December and was well received. The next DLC is apparently ready to be showcased, with Gearbox introducing Guns, Love, and Tentacles: The Marriage of Wainwright & Hammerlock, said to focus on where true love and eldritch horror meet....

The big news today is that a member of Capcom Unity may have ousted C. Viper as a new character in the upcoming Marvel Vs. Capcom 3. The release date and pricing of the non-X AMD Ryzen 7000 CPUs have seemingly leaked ahead of the reveal at CES 2023. This information comes courtesy of VideoCardz with details for three upcoming AMD processors. As this is leaked information, it’s not absolutely confirmed just yet. So until we see their proper unveiling, be sure to remain a bit skeptical. This leak has given us a potential early look at the AMD Ryzen 9 7900, Ryzen 7 7700, and Ryzen 5 7600....

After all, this was a show in which people were brought back from the dead, and without death, was there any real risk for the witches? Not especially, though being banished to Hell for failing the Supreme test was pretty unpleasant for those involved. Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is a very unique survival game. You’re at the helm during the dawn of humanity, and your task is to lead a band of ancient hominids towards the present day. In this, you’ll have to take advantage of the benefits carried over from generation to generation and steer evolution down the right path. That far-forward sight is what makes Ancestors unique compared to other survival games that I’ve played....

Along with the possible art gallery, Animal Crossing: New Horizons may add The Roost Café and barista Brewster in a future update (via Animal Crossing World). Of course, we can’t say for certain that the character and his café are on their way to the game. These conversations could be left over from an earlier version of New Horizons which did intend to use the café. However, they could be hinting that the prim pigeon has got an inbound flight to the player’s island....

Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been having a tough couple of weeks. It was recently revealed that the title won’t feature cloud saves or save transfers, and that only one island would be allowed per Switch console — regardless of how many players were using the system. Ezio Auditore is the perennial assassin in the Assassin’s Creed series. Having his own trilogy to boast of, Ezio’s arc spanned across his entire life, where he perfected the art of killing by becoming a Master Assassin and the head of the Brotherhood. As part of our playthrough in Ezio’s shoes, we were witnesses to the number of assassinations he carried out. While a majority played out the same way, the execution in storytelling varied greatly one from the other....

Don’t expect to see an Aztec setting for Assassin’s Creed in the near future - despite a high-profile rumour to the contrary. Yesterday, a claim the next Assassin’s Creed game would be set in the Aztec era gained traction online, sourced from a Twitter user who had previously leaked details of fellow Ubisoft series Far Cry. Now, Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier has debunked the Aztec claim - while also corroborating Eurogamer’s reporting earlier this year that Baghdad would be featured in the franchise’s next title....

Balan Wonderworld finally released today, along with a day one patch to fix a concerning bug. In response to reports of Balan Wonderworld potentially containing a possible trigger for seizures, Square Enix issued a patch that should eliminate the problem. The developer urged players to download the patch before diving into the action game. Balan Wonderworld‘s final boss sequence included a “rapid flash/strobing effect” between actions that could potentially cause seizures....

Bandai Namco has announced plans to publish Tarsier Studios’ mysterious third-person ‘suspense-adventure’ game Hunger, now renamed Little Nightmares. Hunger was first announced by the studio back in 2014, and sees players taking control of a 9-year old girl attempting to escape from a mysterious underwater vessel called ‘The Maw’. The game was initially planned as a downloadable title for PS4, although it isn’t yet clear whether the deal with Namco means it will now arrive on other platforms....
