As announced in the September 4 Nintendo Direct, Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag and Assassin’s Creed Rogue will be released for Switch this winter. We had an inkling that the games would appear on Switch after a listing for the ports surfaced on a Greek video game retailer’s website, and now it’s been officially confirmed. Assassin’s Creed: The Rebel Collection will bundle both games with all DLC, including the highly rated and action-packed Freedom Cry, which follows the story of Adewale from Black Flag....

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla creative director Ashraf Ismail is taking a leave of absence following claims of sexual misconduct (via Polygon). Ashraf Ismail was the creative director of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and has also directed Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag and Assassin’s Creed Origins. Recently, allegations of an extramarital affair and sexual harassment of fans of Ubisoft have been levelled at Ismail, and he responded in a now-unavailable post to Twitter. “I am stepping down from my beloved project to properly deal with the personal issues in my life,” he said....

Battlefield 5 is nearing its first year anniversary and post-launch support continues, with Chapter 5 starting October 31. Blacktail is a unique story-focused game based on the Slavic folktale of Baba Yaga. You play Yaga, whose sister Zora has gone missing, along with several other children from the village. Blindspot, NBC’s inventive crime drama, appeared to be on the verge of solving its last tattoo case. – At least, that’s what the network’s move of pulling the show from its schedule signalled. However, in a surprising development, NBC has ordered a fifth season of Blindspot, which will serve as its last. NBC’s renewal for Blindspot season 5 will, at least, allow the series to go out on its own terms, proper ending and all....

Borderlands 3 was finally announced last week, although the game’s Twitter account has seemingly let slip a bit more info than intended. According to a now-deleted message, the loot-shooter will launch on September 13. In addition, the Twitter account also revealed that the PC version of the much-anticipated sequel will be exclusive to the Epic Games Store. There was no mention of a Steam release. Gearbox hasn’t officially confirmed a Borderlands 3 release date yet, so take this with a pinch of salt just in case....

The developers behind the up and coming FPS Bulletstorm have revealed that they were having some heavy issues with the console versions of the game due to lack of memory. The PC version ran smooth as silk, but they said they had to “fight” with the consoles to overcome the lack of memory. However, fight as they did, they seem to have come out on top; the boss at People Can Fly (Adrian Chmielarz) announced that the game will look and work just as wonderfully on the PS3 and Xbox 360 as it did on the PC....

For the past two years on December 7, Pearl Harbor Day, Fathom Events has presented to theaters around the country the filmed version of the Broadway musical which tells the story of one family’s extraordinary journey during a shameful chapter of American World War II history when it imprisoned its own innocent citizens. Although we haven’t heard anything about it in quite some time, we’ve finally got a good look at what we can expect from Assassin’s Creed creator Patrice Desilets’ current project – Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey. The game is a third-person open-world survival game based around evolution. Desilets’ studio Panache Games has been working with publisher Private Division for the last few years, so it’s great to finally see some of the fruits of their labor....
