The NPD Group has confirmed that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 topped the US software charts last month, beating out Rockstar Games juggernaut Red Dead Redemption 2 in the process.
Well, it is Call of Duty, so there’s probably no surprise there. Having said that, we know Red Dead 2 is still doing incredibly well, having shipped 17 million copies worldwide.
Meanwhile, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, NBA 2K19, and Super Mario Party make up the rest of the top five.
Sony’s PlayStation 4 dominated the hardware charts, with the console giving the format holder its best single month since the PS2 back in October 2002. That’s not too shabby at all considering the PS4 has just turned five.
In case you missed it, the NPD Group published a list of the top-selling console exclusives in the US from 1995-2018, and it’s largely dominated by Wii games.
