Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will launch on November 6 for PS4, Xbox One and PC, Activision and Treyarch have announced.
There’s currently no word on last gen versions of the highly anticipated sequel.
Black Ops 3 is set in a dark, gritty future in which a new breed of Black Ops soldier has emerged, with the lines blurred between humanity and cutting-edge military robotics.
Unusually for such a major release, it will hit stores worldwide on a Friday, not a Tuesday.
The game’s blurb describes how three game modes will link together in a four-player cooperative experience.
“Call of Duty: Black Ops III combines three unique game modes: Campaign, Multiplayer and Zombies, providing fans with the deepest and most ambitious Call of Duty ever. The Campaign has been designed as a co-op game that can be played with up to four players online, or as a solo cinematic thrill-ride. Multiplayer will be the franchise’s deepest, most rewarding and most engaging to date, with new ways to rank up, customise, and gear up for battle. Zombies delivers an all-new mind-blowing experience with its own dedicated narrative.
“Black Ops III can be played entirely online, and for the first time each of the offerings has its own unique player XP and progression systems.”
In addition, Activision confirmed that customers who pre-order will be granted access to the Black Ops 3 multiplayer beta – details of which will be announced at a later date.
