The big news today is that a member of Capcom Unity may have ousted C. Viper as a new character in the upcoming Marvel Vs. Capcom 3. We also have a couple of videos showing off new characters Viewtiful Joe and Dormammu in action.

Over on Capcom Unity, community member Keon noticed something familiar when the official Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 site was updated. They pointed out that one of the silhouettes was sporting the signature pompadour hair style of C. Viper from Street Fighter IV. Some quick picture editing and comparison revealed that it was indeed C. Viper. Take a gander at the picture below and let us know what you think.

Capcom has not yet confirmed if she is in the game so we’re going to file this one under “Rumor” until we get the final word, however given this new evidence I can safely say there is a high chance we will see her on the official roster soon. Personally, I never cared for C. Viper. She has a cool design but her fighting style didn’t fit my gaming style.

Earlier this month we showed you two new characters that are confirmed for the final release, Viewtiful Joe and Dormammu. This week we have a couple of extended trailers of the game showing these two characters in action.

When I first heard this franchise was going three dimensional and saw the early screenshots, I was not a fan. I’m very big on the artwork behind 2D sprites and felt something would’ve been lost when the transition to the new engine. However, after every video I’ve seen of this game in action this non-believer has seen the light.

This game looks amazing and I can’t wait to see which new characters they announce as we approach the Spring 2011 release date. After Super Street Fighter IV, Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 : Fate of Two Worlds is shaping up to be the next big fighting game to get next Spring for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
