The final Destiny 2 ‘Curse of Osiris’ DLC live stream, originally planned for tomorrow, is now cancelled. Instead, Bungie will be putting together a blog post of ‘Developer Commentary’ about the future of the game.

That news comes direct from Bungie themselves, who’ve posted it in various places (one of which being their forums). The heart of what will be communicated tomorrow is in this section of the statement: “We are investing all our efforts into delivering some higher priority information about Destiny 2. You’ll hear from studio leadership about their assessment of Destiny all up, they’ll talk about our goals for the game going forward, and you’ll also learn about how we’re reacting to your feedback.”

This decision is undoubtedly as a result of player unrest, which found a recent lighting rod in the discovery of hidden XP throttling, but which has been festering for some time. People have taken issue with Bungie’s lack of communication over issues they see as critically undermining Destiny 2 as a long-term game. It appears as if the company may finally be responding to some of those frustrations.

Whatever Bungie have come up with will appear on their ‘Bungie Blog’ tomorrow (29 November). In case the above was not already clear enough, here it is reiterated in another tweet from community support.

To be very clear, we are no longer planning a stream for tomorrow. Look to the blog on Wednesday for statements on what comes next.
