UK customers must now pay a staggering £759 plus postage and packaging if they wish to own an HTC Vive virtual reality kit, up from its launch price of £689 plus postage.

The all-in price is now a massive £815.69.

And it’s all because of the UK’s decision to leave the EU.

“HTC continuously monitors and adjusts pricing to ensure we are providing our customers with the best value possible,” reads the HTC Vive blog.

“Due to recent currency valuation changes and the current value of the GBP we are adjusting the price of the HTC Vive in the UK to £759 + P&P.”

The blog adds: “We are committed to providing the best possible VR experience with Vive and would like to thank our UK customers and partners for their continued support.”

Vives are now shipping in 2-3 days when bought from HTC.
