Not content with announcing Borderlands 3 and Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition, Gearbox confirmed at PAX East yesterday that it’s bringing a free update to Borderlands: The Handsome Collection next week.
Due out on April 3, the Ultra HD Pack offers a visual boost for Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, including 4K resolution and HDR support for PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X players. This fully remasters the collection’s textures, characters, and vehicles, giving it a significant graphical overhaul.
Meanwhile, Higher Resolution Dynamic Shadows improves the quality and smoothness of shadow effects, particularly when in motion.
If that wasn’t enough, the PC version of the Ultra HD Pack adds enhanced Screen Space Ambient Occlusion, offering more realistic ambient lighting via an improved SSAO method.
The PS4 Pro version of the DLC is available to download via The Handsome Collection’s product page, while the PC and Xbox One X versions can be grabbed separately for Borderlands 2 and The Pre-Sequel.
