Gearbox Software and 2K Games fantastic co-op FPS/RPG hybrid Borderlands is getting bundled together with its recent DLC for a disc-based release. The package, titled Borderlands: Double Game Add-On Pack, will feature both The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned and Max Moxxi’s Underdome Riot, but won’t include the forthcoming content The Secret Armory of General Knoxx.
GameStop’s website is currently listing the bundle (PC and XBox 360) for release on February 23rd and pricing it at $19.99. There is no word on a PS3 release yet, but rest assured that we will keep our eyes and ears open for you.
The official blurb for the bundle is as follows:
It seems like releases like this are becoming a bit of a trend these days, both Fallout 3 and GTA IV have had content packs released onto store shelves recently. Although, I do find it a little weird that 2K are releasing this pack without the third piece of DLC. Maybe they are planning to release that with an as-of-yet unannounced forth pack? Who knows?
Visit The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned, where the Jakobs Corporation would like to invite you to experience the splendor of a corporate owned small town known as Jakobs Cove. Any rumors you may have heard about the “undead” walking our streets are completely preposterous and we officially deny them all. If those rumors turn out to be true simply purchase a firearm from the conveniently located Jakobs Brand Vending Machines and aim for the head. Also, would you mind saving our employees? (Non-union only please) Are you god’s gift to gun fights? Think you’re the best? Wanna prove it? Then help us celebrate the grand opening of Marcus Bank (a subsidiary of Marcus Corp) by killing hundreds and hundreds of people in Mad Moxxi’s Underdome Riot, the only competitive arena around where your next of kin can be assured that you’re coming back famous…or not at all. (All proceeds are kept by us)
Does this disc based DLC interest you? Or do you like your downloadable content to remain downloadable?
